Oh brothel, where art though? Sofia Vergara could soon be playing a madam on the big screen…

The 39-year-old Colombian actress has signed on to appear in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills, according to Variety.

Vergara joins an all-star cast that includes Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson and Demian Bichir for the sequel to 2010’s Machete.

Danny Trejo will return as the protagonist Machete, a former Mexican cop. In the sequel, he’ll work with the U.S. government to stop a drug lord and an arms dealer – played by Gibson – from launching a missile.

Vergara will likely play Madame Desdemona, boss of a stable of working girls who have information Machete needs, says Variety.

The first Machete film was made for $10.5 million and earned nearly $44 million at the worldwide box office.

Shooting on Machete Kills is set to begin this month.
