She’s one of the brightest Hispanic talents on primetime television… And, now Sofia Vergara is bringing her comedic talents to late night…

The 39-year-old Colombian actress—who recently received a 2012 Comedy Award nomination for her work on ABC’s hit comedy series Modern Family—will host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on April 7. Vergara’s hosting gig was announced during the show’s March 10 episode.

This will mark Vergara’s first stint as host on the iconic live sketch comedy show.

She’ll be joined by British boy band One Direction as the night’s musical guest.
