It’s the Dawn of a new day for Danny Trejo…
The 70-year-old Mexican American actor, one of filmmaker Robert Rodriguez’s most valuable players, is joining him for the second season of From Dusk To Dawn: The Series.
Trejo appeared in Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn film franchise as Razor Charlie, and now in the series he’ll play The Regulator, a horrifying agent of evil who has been summoned to perform a deadly errand.
The 10-episode second season is currently in production in Austin, TX.
El Rey Networks’ first original scripted series, From Dusk Till Dawn is based on the cult classic film of the same name by El Rey co-founder Rodriguez, who created the series and directed four of the first season’s installments.
Trejo joins returning cast members D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Jesse Garcia, Eiza González, Wilmer Valderama, Madison Davenport, and Brandon Soo Hoo.
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series is a Miramax production in association with Rodriguez International Pictures, FactoryMade Ventures and Sugarcane Entertainment.
