Lorenza Izzo is heading into the inferno…
Open Road Films will release the Eli Roth-directed The Green Inferno, starring the 22-year-old Chilean actress, on September 5.
Open Road Films acquired the horror thriller at last year’s Toronto Film Festival.
The Green Inferno, Roth’s first directing project since 2007′s Hostel 2, was co-written by the director and Guillermo Amoedo.
The film follows a group of students who travel from New York City to the Amazon to save a tribe from extinction. Unfortunately, the tribe has other plans for them.
Along with Izzo, the film also stars Ariel Levy and Daryl Sabara.
It’s the latest Roth-helmed film that Izzo is starring in… She previously starred opposite Selena Gomez in the filmmaker’s Aftershock. And, she’ll next appear opposite Keanu Reeves in “Knock, Knock.”
