Tessandra Chavezhas reason to dance…

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were doled out at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend, with the noted Latina choreographer picking up the second trophy of her career.

Chavez won Best Choreography for her acclaimed work on NBC’s World of Dance, besting two contenders for So You Think You Can Dance and three other nominees for World of Dance. 

Chavez prevailed this time around for three routines featuring contemporary duo Ashley and Zack: “Piece by Piece,” “Don’t Wanna Think” and “Fix You.”
