The 50-year-old Puerto Rican superstar, a nominee in the Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category, has been added to the star-studded presenter lineup.

The 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Ricky Gervais, will air live from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 5 at 5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET on NBC.

Murciano to Star in Sony Pictures’ Comedy “Rock That Body”

Enrique Murciano has a new Body of work…

The 43-year-old Latino actor has joined the cast of Sony PicturesRock That Body, the R-rated comedy about a bachelorette party in Miami that goes wrong and ends with a male stripper dead.

Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Zoe Kravitz star with Demi Moore, Ty Burrell, Dean Winters and Colton Haynes.

The film has a June 23 release date with Lucia Aniello direcing a script she co-wrote with Paul W. Downs.

Murciano starred on Netflix’s Bloodline series. He currently has roles on Starz’s Power and SundanceTV’s Hap and Leonard, also has New Line’s Will Smith starrer Collateral Beauty coming out this year and just finished shooting the TNT pilot Civil.

Kid Cudi to Star in Indie Action Crime-Thriller “Vincent N Roxxy”

The 32-year-old part-Mexican American hip-hop singer/actor will star in the indie action crime-thriller Vincent N Roxxy.

Directed and written by Gary Michael Schultz, and based on the story by Keith Kjarval, the film centers on a small town loner and a rebellious punk rocker who unexpectedly fall in love as they’re forced on the run and soon discover violence follows them everywhere.

The film will also star Emile Hirsch, Zoë Kravitz and Zoey Deutch. 

Vincent N Roxxy will be screened at Tribeca Film Festival next month.

Louis C.K. to Guest Star on IFC’s “Portlandia”

Louis C.K. is heading to the Pacific Northwest…

The 48-year-old Mexican American actor, comedian, producer, director and editor will guest star on season 6 of IFC’s Portlandia.

Starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, who are the masterminds behind the series, the sketch comedy series returns to the small screen on January 21.

In addition to Louis C.K., who stars in the critically acclaimed FX series Louie, the show’s guest stars this season will include the likes of The Flaming Lips, Zoe Kravitz. Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat and Mitchell Hurwitz, as well as Top Chef’s Gregory Gourdet

Salazar to Star Opposite Shailene Woodley and Theo James in the “Divergent” Sequel “Insurgent”

It looks like Rosa Salazar has ties to insurgent groups…

The Canadian-born Latina actress, best known for her role on NBC’s drama series Parenthood, has joined the science fictionaction film Insurgent, based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth.

Salazar will portray Lynn in the sequel to the Divergent and the second installment in the Divergent film series.

Summit’s follow-up to the blockbuster hitsees the return of Shailene Woodley and Theo James as citizens in a world where people are divided into factions based on certain values.

Robert Schwentke is directing the sequel — currently shooting in Atlanta — from a script by Brian Duffield and Akiva Goldsman.

The sequel, set for release March 20, 2015, sees most of the cast returning, including Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney and Zoe Kravitz. Among new additions are Octavia Spencer, who will play Johanna, Suki Waterhouse, Naomi Watts, Daniel Dae Kim and Jonny Weston.

The story follows Tris (Woodley) and Four (James), now fugitives on the run, who must find out what Tris’ family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them.

Lynn is one of the Dauntless-born initiates, and, in Veronica Roth‘s books, she’s described as beautiful and sporting a shaved head. She’s good friends with Uriah and Marlene (Waterhouse) in the books.

The first film based on Roth’s popular YA series, Divergent, opened in March, going on to earn $267 million worldwide.

In addition to Parenthood, Salazar also appeared on the first season of American Horror Story.

Her film credits include voicing a character in Epic and appearing in the 2014 film Jamesy Boy. She’ll next be seen in the upcoming films Search Party, Night Owls, Submerged and May the Best Man Win.

Naranjo Rounds Out the Cast for His Untitled English-Language Debut Film

The Mexican Miss Bala filmmaker has cast Dakota Fanning, Harry Potter’s Frank Dillan and ShamelessJeremy Allen White, as well X-Men: First ClassZoe Kravitz and Caleb Landry Jones, for his untitled English-language debut.

Fanning will star in the music-based film as Viena, a roadie on a journey of self-discovery while on tour with a punk band in the 1980s.

The project was first announced in November at the Baja International Film Festival where the deal came together in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The film will be produced by Verisimilitude’s Hunter Gray and Alex Orlovsky with Lola PicturesChris Ramirez.

Naranjo is directing the film from his own script.

Filming gets underway in Nevada late next month.
