Make that three MTV Europe Music Awards for Bruno Mars…
The 28-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer earned the third MTV EMA statue of his career on Sunday, winning in the best song category for his smash hit single “Locked Out Of Heaven.”
Mars, who was nominated for two awards, lost in the best male category to Justin Bieber, who won the award for a fourth straight year.
Mars, who performed his new single “Gorilla” during the awards show, previously claimed the Best New Act and Best Push prizes at the 2011 event.
The MTV Europe Music Awards were held at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam
LMFAO‘s Redfoo, the night’s host, mentioned that 292 million votes had been cast by fans for the EMAs, a new record. Last year, 184 million votes were submitted.
