Kid Cudi to Co-Headline This Year’s Governors Ball at New York’s Citi Field

Kid Cudi is the beau of the Ball…

The 37-year-old half-Mexican American singer/rapper is set to co-headline the 2022 Governors Ball festival at Citi Field in Queens, New York.

Kid Cudi will co-headline alongside J.Cole and Halsey at the festival, which will take place on June 10-12.

The event will also feature sets from Migos, Jack Harlow, Louis the Child, Black Pumas, Skepta, Beabadoobee, Flume, Roddy Ricch, YG, Tove Lo, Denzel Curry, Playboi Carti, Glass Animals, Kaytranada, Clairo, Becky G, Jazmine Sullivan, Japanese Breakfast, 100 Gecs and many more.

Tickets for the event go on sale on Thursday, January 27 at noon ET on the event’s website; a special presale for three-day and one-day passes and VIP tickets will open exclusively for Citi cardmembers from 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday (Jan. 25) through 11:59 a.m. ET on Thursday (Jan. 27).

In a release announcing this year’s event, promoters Founders Entertainment also said that they’ll be donating $25,000 to the New York City Mayor’s Fund for the victims of January’s devastating Bronx apartment building fire that killed 17 and injured dozens of others; attendees can also support the victims of the blaze by donation to the relief effort via The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.

Other artists slated to perform at this year’s Governors Ball include JPEGMAFIA, Coi Leray, Channel Tres, Joji, Still Woozy, ASHNIKKO, Chelsea Cutler, Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), Gus Dapperton, J.I.D, COIN, Soccer Mommy, Surf Curse, DUCKWRTH, Del Water Gap and more.

The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary in the fall with a show that featured headliners Post Malone, Billie Eilish and A$AP Rocky. As usual, the 2022 festival will feature a rich array of craft cocktails, beers, food, surprise pop-up performances and art installations.

J Balvin Teams Up with Ty Dolla Sign, Tyga, YG & Post Malone for “Spicy” Remix

J Balvin is spicing things up…

Ty Dolla Sign shows off his Spanish skills in the newly-remixed “Spicy” featuring the 35-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter, Tyga, YG and original collaborator Post Malone.

The bilingual collaboration starts off with Ty Dolla Sign’s opening verse from the original track followed by J Blavin, who enters with his all-Spanish verse where he also hints at a lavish and luxurious lifestyle.

“Today Louis [Vuitton], tomorrow Gucci for breakfast/ I order sushi … from Medallo to the Virgin Islands/ I’m sorry this is another level,” Balvin raps.

“Spicy” feat. Post Malone was released back in October and is featured on Ty Dolla’s latest album Featuring Ty Dolla Sign.

Demi Lovato Taking Part in YouTube’s Global Celebration Video “Hello 2021”

Demi Lovato is gearing up to ring in the New Year online…

YouTube will launch the New Year alongside a number of Hollywood names, including the 28-year-old half-Mexican singer/actress, with its global celebration video Hello 2021.

In addition to Lovato, the video will feature appearances by Matthew McConaughey, RuPaul and Storm Reid, Dua Lipa, J Balvin and more.

The video will premiere in the Americas, United Kingdom, Korea, Japan and India.

“With the world ready to move past an extremely challenging year, YouTube will use its global reach to celebrate the hope and promise of 2021,” said Susanne Daniels, YouTube’s Global Head of Original Content. “We look forward to closing the book on 2020 and throwing a worldwide celebration that our YouTube community can safely enjoy from home.”

Set to feature speeches, musical performances and dance parties, Hello 2021 has a lineup of five different shows and will celebrate the year’s most notable videos across the globe, from the David Blaine Ascension to HBCU Homecoming.

The Hello 2021 announcement comes nearly a month after YouTube announced that it would not go forward with its annual Rewind video.

“Rewind was always meant to be a celebration of you. But 2020 has been different,” an official YouTube statement said. “And it doesn’t feel right to carry on as if it weren’t. So, we’re taking a break from Rewind this year.”

The global countdown spectacular is produced by Fremantle and will air at various times on Decemnber 31. See the details for each showing below.

“Hello 2021: Americas” – It’s a virtual New Year’s Eve bash across the Americas only YouTube can throw. Kehlani Releases Heartbreaking Single “Valentine’s Day (Shameful)”

Kehlani has released a new heartbreaking single…

The 24-year-old part-Mexican American singer publicly moves on from an ex while putting him on blast with the “Valentine’s Day (Shameful),” recently released on her YouTube channel and SoundCloud.

Without addressing the subject by name, Kehlani subliminally airs out a former partner for repeated cheating and says she was there to help him through his crippling addictions.

“Wish I didn’t check your text when you was drunk asleep/ I’ve seen everything that I ain’t wanna see/ That I needed to see, that I needed to be/ Hope you live happily ever after with the b—h, uh/ Fly to France, wine and crackers, honeymoonin’ with the b—h/ Hope you f–k around and have the son you wanted with the b—h,” she painfully sings.

In a since-deleted tweet, Kehlani announced that she’s indeed single again.

“Feel something and get it off. 3 therapeutic hours. appreciating those who see and hear me, and those around me holding me up. real grateful for expression right now. inward & onward, love always ALL ways,” Kehlani captioned behind the scenes footage of the track organically coming together in the studio.

The song follows her “Konclusions” duet with what appears to be her now-ex YG, released on Valentine’s Day.

Miguel to Perform at This Year’s Mala Luna Music Festival in San Antonio

There’s a bad moon rising for Miguel…

The 33-year-old half-Mexican American singer is set to perform at San Antonio’s Mala Luna Music Festival.

The Grammy-winning singer joins a lineup that includes Russ, Diplo, Juice Wrld, YGand Playboi Cartifor its 2019 edition.

TheHalloween weekend festival hitting Texas from October 26-27 at the Nelson Wolff Stadium parking lot will also feature sets from Dababy, Trippie Redd, Summer Walkerand Jessie Reyez.

Ari Lennoxof J.Cole’s Dreamville Records will perform in support of her newly released debut album Shea Butter Baby, while Houston’s own Megan Thee Stallion will also perform following her run on the Legendary Nights Tour with YG and Future.

The downtown San Antonio festival is returning for its fourth year with performances from DaniLeigh, Melii, UMI and Alaina Castillo.

In a continued effort to support and shine a light on Texas’ growing music scene, several local artists will be performing including FRITOGANG, Hoodlum, Jay Wileand Doeman.

In 2018, Mala Luna welcomed more than 30,000 attendees to the music festival that also pays tribute to the local culture and the San Antonio community’s annual Diá de los Muertos celebrations. live art installations, local food vendors and merchants, and highly curated themes and designs, costumes and more are once again expected at the annual event produced by Texas-based promoter ScoreMore Shows.

Carey Releases New Single “I Don’t,” Featuring YG

Mariah Carey is singing through the pain…

The 47-year-old half-Venezuelan American singer has released the emotional ballad “I Don’t,” her new collaboration with rapper YG.

In the video, which is about her breakup from ex-fiancé James Packer, the Grammy-winning star dons bridal lingerie while seductively singing in the back of a car with YG. After changing into an equally sexy red cutout gown, Carey flings a wedding dress over a fire pit and watches it burn.

Carey briefly discussed the track during a recent Facebook Live session, noting that she and YG worked on it with Jermaine Dupri.

The song was teased on the January 29 season finale of Carey’s reality series Mariah’s World.

“But I’m tired of cryin, no more tears/Pity party of the year/Cold at night cause you’re not here/Leaving you was my worst fear,” Carey sings.

Carey said during her Facebook Live stream that she’s keen to do more single releases like “I Don’t”, rather than release a full album.

Her 14th and most recent LP was Me. I Am Mariah…the Elusive Chanteuse, which dropped in 2014 and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Fergie Releases the Music Video for Her New Single “L.A. Love (La La)”

Fergie‘s spreading the (L.A.) Love…

The 39-year-old part-Mexican American singer has released the official music video for “L.A. Love (La La),” the lead single from her upcoming sophomore solo album.

As the Black Eyed Peas member rolls around Southern California in her double-decker, Day of the Dead-themed party bus, she’s joined by a random collection of famous people.

There’s Kelly Osbourne, Chelsea Handler playing “the irresponsible raver mom, Hilary Swank, Tommy Chong and Wilmer Valderrama.

Less surprisingly, YG — who has a verse on the song – also makes an appearance in the clip, along with fellow music world stars Mike Will Made It, Rae Sremmund, Taylor Momsen and DJ Mustard.

Fergie’s new solo album will be released in 2015.
