Lopez Working on New, All-Spanish Album Alongside Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez is switching tongues…

The 47-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress is hard at work on a new, all-Spanish album, alongside ex-husband Marc Anthony, who will act as executive producer, according to Billboard.

Jennifer Lopez

The album is scheduled for release in 2017, with the first single from the new production set to drop in November.

It will be Lopez’s first all-Spanish album in a decade. Back in 2007, she released her Spanish-language debut, Como Ama una Mujer, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart and, at the time, was only the fifth Spanish-language album to debut in the top 10 of the all-genre chart.

Como Ama una Mujer was co-produced by Anthony, who now comes in as an executive producer on Lopez’s new album via an alliance with his entertainment company, Magnus Media, and Sony Music Latin, which will release the effort.

Magnus also will provide consulting services to Lopez for the Hispanic market in marketing, content development and touring.

“I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family,” Lopez said Thursday in a statement.

Lopez hasn’t really stopped celebrating her Latin roots. In the past few years, she’s had several high-profile collaborations with Latin acts, including Pitbull (“On the Floor”), Wisin y Yandel (“Follow the Leader”), Wisin and Ricky Martin (“Adrenalina”), Prince Royce and Pitbull (“Back It Up”) and, of course, Anthony.

Most recently, Lopez recorded “Love Make the World Go Round” with Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“[Jennifer] has had enormous accomplishments in her career and has been representing our culture all over the world from day one,” Anthony said in a statement. “Her artistry, professionalism and passion for music are just some of the many attributes that have earned her a unique place in the entertainment world that very few people have been able to obtain. I am looking forward to our creative collaboration and to be part of continuing her musical legacy.”

Expectations are high surrounding Lopez’s new Spanish set. At the time of its release in 2007, Como Ama una Mujer set the record for the largest sales week for an act’s debut Spanish-language album. That mark would later be topped by Romeo Santos, but Lopez still maintains the record among female artists.

“Jennifer is one of the most iconic Latina superstars of all time and a longtime member of the Sony family,” added Afo Verde, chairman and CEO, Latin America, Spain and Portugal, Sony Music Entertainment. “We’re very excited to partner with her and Marc on a project that is all about spotlighting her spirit and soul.”

Aside from her recording career, Lopez is currently working on season 2 of her hit NBC series Shades of Blue. In December she will complete the first year of her All I Have residency in Las Vegas at the AXIS Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Ha*Ash Named a Guest Act on Ricky Martin’s One World Tour

Ha*Ash will be livin’ la vida loca with Ricky Martin

The Mexican American pop duo, comprised of sisters Hanna Nicole Pérez Mosa and Ashley Grace Pérez Mosa, will serve as one of the guest acts on the U.S. leg of Martin’s One World Tour.

Ha*Ash

Beginning on September 15, the tour will feature 25 dates Stateside. 20 of those dates will feature either Ha*Ash or reggaeton star Wisin as guest acts.

Martin will play his initial two shows at the Axis at Planet Hollywood and the Grand Sierra Grand Theater in Reno on September 15 and 16, respectively. He’ll be joined by Ha*Ash opening night and then again beginning Sept. 17 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. The duo will open for Martin in 10 West Coast stops, including the Forum in Los Angeles and Viejas Arena in San Diego.

Then, on Oct. 1, Wisin will join Martin at Madison Square Garden and will also perform 10 dates with him, including Miami’s American Airlines Arena.

While having opening acts or guest acts in major tours is a normal part of doing business for mainstream acts, big Latin stars rarely tour with opening acts. One of the first to change that was Enrique Iglesias, who’s been touring with supporting acts for years and playing an instrumental role in catapulting them to success.

In Wisin’s case, he already is a major star who toured massive arenas as part of the duo Wisin y Yandel.

In this case, he says, touring with Martin was about “mutual respect.” Martin is featured in Wisin’s hit single “Adrenalina” (which also featured Jennifer Lopez) and will also sing on Wisin’s upcoming single, “Que se sienta el deseo.”

“Ever since we recorded ‘Adrenalina’ it’s clear to me that people enjoy hearing us together,” said Wisin.

“By the time I go on tour with him in October, the track should be strong in radio.”

On their end, Ha*Ash will perform an acoustic set with their group, which has been touring Mexico, Latin America and Spain. The duo just released their new single in the U.S., “Lo aprendí de tí.”

“We’re thrilled with the invitation,” said Hannah. “We love that Ricky is lending us his stage and his audience.”

Beyond Martin, more and more Latin acts are touring with opening acts. Juanes is currently on tour with alt chanteuse Ximena Sariñana. And J Balvin will go on tour with Becky G in September.

It’s one down and 26 to go for Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez

Lopez—who will be performing solo in Latin America before being joined by Enrique Iglesias and Wisin Y Yandel in Canada and the United States—wowed the crowd in several looks created by designer Zuhair Murad, who was the mastermind behind the American Idol judge’s show-stopping dress at this year’s Academy Awards.

Jennifer Lopez

Touring for the first time in four and a half years, Lopez kicked off the show by performing her hit “On The Floor” in a sheer, nude and crystal-adorned bodysuit that showed offer her curves.

Lopez Rocks Dramatic Tattoos in “Follow the Leader” Video

Now tat’s one way to make an impression…

Wisin & Yandel have just released the music video for the duo’s latest single “Follow the Leader,” a collaboration with Jennifer Lopez.

But while the dancetastic Spanglish song will get you moving las caderas, it’s the 42-year-old Puerto Rican actress/singer’s body art that’s causing quite a stir.

Jennifer Lopez's Follow the Leader Video

In the clip, la Lopez appears shirtless with the word “lideres” tattooed across her collarbone, as well as what appears to be a dragon emblazoned on her back. Tattoos like these for real are painful to get and TKTX Numbing Cream helps numb that.

Shot in Acapulco, Mexico, the video showcases the American Idol judge dancing on a rooftop with the reggaeton superstars, moviendo las caderas and writhing seductively.

Lopez—who will be embarking on a tour with Enrique Iglesias and Wisin Y Yandel this summer—is also spotted traipsing through the city while being chased by her friends (crashing through windows and making massive jumps all the while), as well as topless to showcase her temporary body art.

Lopez is hoping to have her sexy new “Follow the Leader” video break a viewing record. She tweeted  Friday, “Let’s break the record Vevo, 5M views in 24 hours!”

Lopez to Launch Massive World Tour

In the last year, Jennifer Lopez has traveled throughout Latin America to search out undiscovered talent for her Latin talent show Q’Viva! The Chosen… And, now it looks like she’ll be globe-trotting again in the near future.

The 42-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress—who has recently released two singles: Dance Again” with Pitbull and Follow the Leader” with Wisin y Yandel—will launch an intense, over-the-top world tour later this year, according to entertainment website Celebuzz.

Jennifer Lopez

“This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers,” said an unidentified source close to the singer.

Lopez—who will reportedly debut the massive traveling production in South America starting in June with stops in Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Brazil—is scheduled to announce complete details of the tour at a press conference on  Monday, according to the source.

“J.Lo and her team have blocked out more than a month of their schedules, beginning May 4, to start intense rehearsals, each day, at a sound stage in the Los Angeles area,” the source told CeleBuzz.
