Sony has released the first trailer for Men In Black: International, the long-in-the-works reboot of the franchise now starring the part-Afro-Panamanian and Mexican American actress and Chris Hemsworth.
Thompson and Hemsworth don the black suits in the lead roles made famous by Tommy Lee Jonesand Will Smith.
Sony has set a June 14, 2019 release date for Columbia Pictures’ comedic sci-fi actioner, which F. Gary Gray has directed from a screenplay by Art Marcumand Matt Holloway.
Whereas the original films were centered in New York City, the new take sees Agent M (Thompson) join the covert MIB organization dedicated to policing the alien population hiding in plain sight on Earth. She is partnered with Agent H (Hemsworth) in the London bureau to stop a potential global catastrophe. Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson also star.
The 40-year-old Mexican actress will star in Sony Pictures’ Bad Boys for Life, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
The new installment centers on the Miami PDand its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Jacob Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature.
Nuñez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away.
Adil El Arbiand Bilall Fallahare directing the film, which will bow in theaters on January 17, 2020.
It was previously announced that Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, and Charles Melton have also joined the film in supporting roles as members of a modern, highly specialized police unit.
Peter Craig, Joe Carnahan, and Chris Bremmercrafted the script. Jerry Bruckheimerwill produce the film.
Production is to commence next month.
Nuñez, who is widely known for her performances across Latin American television, features and theatrical platforms, recently starred opposite Pierce Brosnanon the first season AMC western series, The Son, which will return for a second season in 2019.
The 22-year-old Venezuelan internet personality, actress, singer, dancer and host of La Voz… México appears in YouTube’s “YouTube Rewind 2018: Everyone Controls Rewind.”
The clip, jam-packed with references to this year’s music, features many of YouTube’s popular creators and recaps the year’s content, trends and tunes.

The eight-minute-plus video opens with Will Smith (who made his YouTube channel debut earlier this year) against a mountainous landscape, announcing, “It’s rewind time.” He continues, “If I control rewind, I would want Fortnite and Marques Brownlee.” Snapping his fingers, a dreamlike YouTuber-filled compilation begins.
“Is this what you wanted?” asks Brownlee from a flying Fortnite-esque bus full of YouTubers ready to pick out their own favorite moments as Cardi B’s “I Like It” plays in the background.
The scene eventually swaps to one in which the content creators crowd around a campfire together. “Apparently we control rewind this year. Y’all, we can do whatever we want,” confirms Liza Koshy. “What do we do?”
“K-pop!” pipe up the Merrell Twins and Casey Neistat as a dancing montage backed by BTS’ “Idol” plays in the background.
Marshmello soon makes a brief appearance (as does his collaboration with Bastille, “Happier“).
The next music moment comes when the animated TheOdd1sOut suggests they accept Drake’s “In My Feelings” Challenge, the moving-car dance craze inspired by the song earlier this year.
YouTubers including Pons, Anwar Jibawi and Rudy Mancuso later take on a catwalk wearing oversized blocky bodysuits meant to resemble the ones Kanye West and Lil Pump sported in the “I Love It” music video; Panic! at the Disco’s “High Hopes” backs them up.
The social-media-famous “Baby Shark” song by Pinkfong also gets a nod, accompanied by some colorfully costumed kid show characters.
This year’s video has, notably, at time of press, been disliked more than 2.2 million times — over twice as many times as it has been liked — with viewers pointing out that some of YouTube’s biggest stars, including PewDiePie (who boasts over 74 million subscribers), are absent. Despite this, the recap has already received 33 million views.
Ricky Martin is making a special delivery on his native island…
Taking advantage of his time in Puerto Rico, the 46-year-old Puerto Rican superstar visited the town of Loíza to continue to hand over keys to new homes for three families left homeless by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane María last year.
“Thanks to each of your contributions to our fund, we rebuild homes, provide protection and hope to hundreds of families,” Martin said in a press release.
The Ricky Martin Foundation, a nonprofit organization named after the superstar, has handed over homes that are being rebuilt after the losses. Identifying and reconstructing the homes began in March, and the goal is to give keys to some 225 families by the fall of 2019.
In the reconstruction project, there are over 30 Loíza residents working, and each recipient, apart from collaborating in the reconstruction of your home, choose the color of your paint, slabs and other elements. They also receive workshops at the Tau Center as part of this initiative.
Part of the funds have been raised thanks to the viral campaign selling a black shirt with the Puerto Rican flag stamped on it, which was designed by Martin twins, Valentino and Matteo.
The campaign has received the support of many superstars, including Maluma, Luis Fonsi, Bad Bunny, Will Smith, Marc Anthony.
Danny Trejo is bringing his life to the small screen, so to speak…
The 74-year-old Mexican American actor is attached to star in an ABC comedy project that boasts Will Smith among its executive producers.
Trejo will star in and executive produce Food & Familia, which is currently in development at the network. The multi-camera comedy, is inspired by Trejo’s life. When the matriarch of the family passes away, she leaves her restaurant to her son, Danny (Trejo) – who’s about to get out of prison — and her granddaughter, Michelle, who hates her father for abandoning her. This gift from beyond the grave might heal the father and daughter and get them back together but, it’s gonna be rocky as the two of them work their differences out while trying to operate a restaurant, live together, and become a real family again.
Peter Murrietta will write and executive produce the project. Trejo and Smith will executive produce along with Caleeb Pinkett and James Lassiter of Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment. ABC Studios will produce.
Should the project move forward, it would only be Trejo’s second series regular role, with the other being the short-lived George Lopez FX sitcom Saint George. Trejo is also known for his role in the Machete films as well as several other Robert Rodriguez films. His other TV roles include appearances on Sons of Anarchy, Rick & Morty, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, and From Dusk til Dawn: The Series. Trejo also opened his first restaurant, Trejo’s Tacos, in 2016 with multiple locations now open throughout Los Angeles. He also operates Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts and Trejo’s Cantina.
Murrietta most recently worked on the CBS comedy Superior Donuts. His other recent credits include One Day at a Time, Lopez, and Cristela. Murrietta also won two Emmy awards for his time on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place.
The 37-year-old Puerto Rican and Dominican American reggaetón star has joined Hublot’s ambassador club, as the brand’s first Latin music ambassador.
“It’s an immense privilege for me, as a real watch enthusiast, to become the ambassador for a Swiss watchmaking brand like Hublot,” Nicky Jam said in a statement. “In Latin America, Hublot is an absolute reference thanks to the technical quality and incomparable aesthetics of its watches.”
Nicky Jam joins a select group of Hublot “ambassadors” that includes Usain Bolt,Eli Manning and Floyd Mayweather.
Only two of the ambassadors Hublot has listed on its website are music artists: pianist Lang Langand Depeche Mode. And only two others have Latin American roots: soccer star Peléand Arturo Fuentecigars.

The 37-year-old Dominican andPuerto Rican singer-songwriter has released the music video for “Live It Up!,” featuring Will Smith and Era Istrefi.
It’s the official 2018 FIFA World Cup song, and it serves as an ode to the sport of soccer no matter where it’s played.
The video opens with a motivational quote to kick things off: “Where there is unity, there is always victory.”
A sense of unity is created by then splicing together shots of different games of soccer, whether it be a barefoot round in the dirt or surrounded by a stadium crowd.

Netflix has unveiled the soundtrack for its original film Bright, a 13-track effort chock full of features across all genres as well as a few unlikely genre-crossing collaborations.
