Lovato’s One-Hour Documentary Airing Tuesday

Demi Lovato is opening up about her trials and tribulations in a one-hour MTV documentary and follow-up live appearance on the cable network.

The 19-year-old part-Mexican American actress/singer’s special Demi Lovato: Stay Strong, which follows the Unbroken singer through her recovery as she hits the road again after canceling her tour with the Jonas Brothers in 2010 and seeking treatment for “emotional and physical issues.” Viewers will also watch her spend Thanksgiving 2011 with her family and revisit the Dallas treatment center.

Following the special, Lovato will make a live appearance in the network’s New York City Time Square studio to share her thoughts on the one-hour documentary.

Hosted by MTV News correspondent Suchin Pak, Lovato will do a live Q&A, share some deleted scenes from the documentary, and give viewers a first look at her appearance on MTV’s candid camera prank series, Punk’d.

The network encourages fans to take part in the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #staystrong and by submitting questions to the @MTVNews and @MTV Twitter accounts with the hashtag #AskDemi.

Demi Lovato: Stay Strong will premiere this Tuesday, March 6 at 10 pm ET on MTV, with Lovato’s live appearance at 11:00pm.

In addition, Lovato is set to perform on NBC‘s Today on Tuesday.

“I have received more emails asking me to release this shoot then any other shoot I have ever done Lovatics are dedicated fans!” the photographer writes on his blog and working with the former Sonny with a Chance star. “Demi killed it the glass smashing shot we did in 1 perfect take!

Meanwhile, Lovato continues the promotion of her latest album, “Unbroken” and the latest single, “Give Your Heart A Break.”

Lovato Releases Lyric Video for Her Latest Single…

Demi Lovato is giving her fans an extra-special gift this Christmas…

The former Disney star has just released a lyric music video featuring the written words to her song “Give Your Heart a Break.

The 19-year-old part-Mexican singer/actress appears in the background, writing the lyrics to the tune in a diary.

When announcing “Give Your Heart a Break” as the next single from her latest album “Unbroken“, Lovato tweeted, “Exciting news! If you haven’t already heard – my new single from Unbroken will be Give Your Heart a Break. Definitely one of my favorites from the album – xo Demi.”

Lovato has performed the track at her recent concert appearances, including Z100’s Jingle Ball.

According to her Facebook page, she’ll perform the song on MTV’s New Years Eve special in New York City, where she’ll serve as both a performer and co-host.

“Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!!!” posted Lovato, who was recently named to Billboard.com’s 21 Under 21 musicians list. “I couldn’t do it without you guys!!!!”

Since her stint in a treatment facility for an eating disorder and self-injury, Lovato has come back stronger than ever from what she calls “the darkest time” of her life. She released her latest album “Unbroken,” performed on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and won an ALMA Award for “Favorite TV Actress—Leading Role in a Comedy.”

The Texas-native will follow in the footsteps on fellow LaTweeno singer Scotty McCreery, who performed the national anthem at Game 1 of the World Series this week.

Game 5 between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals will take place on Monday at 8:05 pm ET at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
