When secrets about the nature of her own identity begin to surface, she must uncover the truth, and whether she will be humanity’s savior or the instrument of its destruction.

The 37-year-old Puerto Rican actress has been cast as a lead opposite Will Sasso and Jane Curtin in United We Fall, ABC’s family comedy from Making History creator Julius Sharpe, Seth Gordon, Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios.
Written by Sharpe and directed by Mark Cendrowski, United We Fall is a profoundly realistic, multicultural sitcom that shows how, when two people, Bill (Sasso) and Jo (Vidal) with young children and overzealous extended families truly love each other, barely anything is possible.
Sasso’s Bill is a confident, analytical yet funny and emotional father and husband. Bill and his wife, Jo, both have college degrees, great careers, and a solid, loving marriage. However, since having their second kid, they can barely make it out the door. He tries to hold it together because he loves his family more than anything, and, deep down, he knows his wife is slightly too cool to be with him.
Vidal’s Jo, the youngest of ten siblings, is not a “traditional” mom. Although she is a strong female role model for her kids, she’s cool, sarcastic, and does things her own way, often bringing her into conflict with other parents and her own extended family.
Vidal played the series regular role of Detective Valeria Chavez in Training Day, which aired for one season on CBS. She was most recently seen in a recurring role on Sneaky Pete, and previously recurred on Limitless and Code Black, among other credits.
The Latino actor is set to star in the indie crime thriller Tax Collector.
Written and directed by David Ayer, the film will also star Shia LaBeouf.
Ayer has begun pre-production on Tax Collector, which will be shot in Los Angeles.
Tax Collectorharkens back to Ayer’s earlier gritty crime thrillers Training Day(which he wrote and Antoine Fuquadirected) and End of Watch, which Ayer directed.
The plot is being kept under wraps.
Soto’s previous credits include appearances on S.W.A.T.,Generator Rex, Lie to Meand For the People, as well as a role in the film A Better Life.
The 34-year-old Puerto Rican actress landed a series regular role opposite Bill Paxton and Justin Cornwell on the upcoming CBS drama Training Day.
Based on the 2001 film from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, Training Day is a crime thriller that begins 15 years after the events of the movie. It centers on an idealistic young police officer (Cornwell) who is appointed to an elite squad of the Los Angeles Police Department, where he is partnered with a seasoned, morally ambiguous detective (Paxton).
Vidal will play Detective III Valeria Chavez, the best investigator in the Robbery Homicide Division, which puts her in the running for the best investigator in the world. Minus the LAPD raid jacket and handcuffs, you might take her for a soccer mom, but you’d do so at your extreme peril.
Vidal most recently had recurring arcs on CBS series Code Blackand Limitless.
