Fifth Harmony to Collaborate with Demi Lovato in 2014?

While talking about her upcoming “Neon Lights” tour in an interview with MTV, Demi Lovato revealed that “there’s plans” to collaborate with the all-girl group.

“Of course! There’s plans to collaborate with them,” Lovato said. “I adore them so much. They’re such sweet girls and I really think they’re going to go far in this industry. I’m glad I could that I could be a part of it by helping put them together and taking them on the road. It’s really exciting.”

Fifth Harmony was formed on Fox’s The X Factor when Lovato was one of the judges. The 21-year-old part-Mexican American entertainer, who recently confirmed that she would exit the singing competition to focus on her music, has enlisted the five ladies for her tour which is slated to kick off next year.

In addition to Fifth Harmony, Lovato will bring former contestants of U.K.’s edition of The X Factor Cher Lloyd and Little Mix.

“You can expect a show that I’ve never put on before. I’m really excited,” Lovato told the site. “Other shows I’ve had all about the music but this time I want it to be about girl empowerment. I want it to be a huge party that everyone has fun at and leaves with an incredible experience.”

Demi Lovato is being honored for giving back…

The 21-year-old part-Mexican American actress/singer and now retired The X Factor judge has been named to DoSomething.com’s list of Top 20 Celebs Gone Good of 2013.

Lovato, who comes in at No. 15, is the only Latino/a artist to make the list this year.

Lovato was recognized for publishing the book Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year, (a 365-day collection of Lovato’s most powerful, honest and hopeful insights to give young people everywhere daily affirmations).

But that’s not all she did to make a difference in 2013…

Lovato also gave a lot of love to her favorite charity Free the Children throughout the year. She launched Demi’s Charity Boutique on eBay, with proceeds from the boutique’s sales supporting Free the Children, and also appeared on a celebrity edition of The Price is Right, earning almost $50,000 for Free the Children.

Other celebrities making this year’s list include Taylor Swift, One Direction, Beyoncé Knowles, the late Paul Walker, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Seacrest and Carrie Underwood.

Lovato Not Returning as a Judge on “The X Factor” Next Season

Demi Lovato is going from X to ex…

The 21-year-old part-Mexican American actress has decided to vacate her seat at the judges table on Fox’s The X Factor at the end of the third season.

Lovato, who has served as a judge and mentor on the singing competition for two seasons, plans to focus the next year on her music. Lovato released a new album, Demi, in March and is headlining her first arena tour beginning in February.

“I think ultimately my main thing is singing,” she told People magazine last month. “Maybe movies once in a while, if the right role comes along.”

Speaking on the red carpet after Wednesday’s performance finale, X Factor boss Simon Cowell confirmed Lovato’s exit, but indicated the door will be left open for her in the future.

Olivero Reaches the Finals on Fox’s “The X Factor”

Carlito Olivero is thisclose to the winning the big shebang…

The 24-year-old Puerto Rican and Mexican American singer has reached the finals on the third season of Fox’s The X Factor after getting past two bottom-three eliminations unscathed to make it to the final stretch.

Olivero, from the Boys group mentored by Paulina Rubio, was the first contestant announced to be safe during the reality singing competition’s results show on Thursday.

Following a rocky moment last week, which saw him land in the bottom two, Olivero managed to turn things around during Wednesday’s performance show.

The former member of Menudo who took part in MTV‘s Making Menudo performed Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” Marc Anthony’s “I Need to Know” and Elvis Crespo’s “Suavemente” this week.

Olivero will face-off against frontrunners Alex & Sierra and rock-star-in-the-making Jeff Gutt in next week’s finals.

The Chicago-native tells Fox News Latino it’s been an amazing ride and wants people to vote.

“We need a Latino to win this!” he said.

The two-part finale of The X Factor season 3 will air on December 18 and 19.

Lovato (Neon) Lights Up Billbooard’s Social Media Chart

Talk about neon hot! Demi Lovato leads the charge of Latinos on social media this week…

Hot on the heels of the video debut for her latest track “Neon Lights,” the 21-year-old part-Mexican singer, actress and The X Factor judge rises 12-8 on Billboard’s Social 50 chart with a 13% rise in overall chart points.

Lovato re-enters the top 10 thanks in part to the clip’s bow on November 21.

The Social 50 ranks the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, Wikipedia, Myspace and Instagram. The chart’s methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views, song plays and reactions as measured by music analytics company Next Big Sound.

The video, with its neon lights-festooned rave scene, helps drive conversation about Lovato on Facebook up 57% over the previous week, helping her to accumulate 225,000 new followers on the platform (up 3.4%). The video helped Lovato accumulate over 15 million plays across all of her videos hosted on Vevo, a 66% increase over the previous week.

Further down the tally, several artists featured on the new charity album Songs for the Philippines see gains. The set, which raises funds for the Philippine Red Cross to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Typhoon Yolanda), features acts like Enrique Iglesias, Bruno Mars and Jessica Sanchez.

Iglesias ascends 30-23 with 278,000 overall fans added to his audience.

Meanwhile, Shakira moves 16-7 thanks to her usual family and baby-related postings on Facebook. A photo of her, husband Gerard Piqué and their son Milan received a staggering 2 million likes on Facebook since its posting on November 17. Other activity contributes to a 341% increase in conversation about Shakira on the Facebook platform, which helps grow her audience there by 329,000.

Miley Cyrus remains at No. 1 for the fourth week in a row while Eminem and Katy Perry hold at Nos. 2 and 3 respectively.

Lopez Signs Development Deal with NUVOtv

Mario Lopez has more NUVOtv in his future…

The 40-year-old Mexican American television host and actor is expanding his relationship with the American cable television network, which caters to the Latin market.

The current host of The X Factor and Extra has signed a development deal with NUVOtv to bring new projects to life. Specifically he’ll develop three new series projects for the network.

As part of the deal, the network has ordered a second season of his interview show One-On-One. The first season includes interviews with Eva Longoria, Edward James Olmos, Juanes and Emilio and Gloria Estefan.

Additionally, NUVOtv has greenlit new series Salsa in the City (working title). Produced by Lopez, the series set to premiere in the second quarter of 2014. It’s being called a competition show that combines dating and dance within the salsa dance scene.

Christmas isn’t for another seven weeks… But Demi Lovato is already spreading holiday cheer.

The 21-year-old part-Mexican singer/actress and The X Factor judge performed her latest single “Let It Go,” from the upcoming movie Frozen, during the taping of the  Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade television special at Disneyland on Saturday afternoon in Anaheim, California.

Before leaving the amusement park, the blue-streaked starlet even posed for a photo with Minnie Mouse.

But Lovato wasn’t the only celebrity on hand for the taping…

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo belted out a rendition of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” while Mary J. Blige entertained the crowd with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

Gomez to Perform “Slow Down” on “The X Factor”

Selena Gomez is ready to slow things down on The X Factor…

The 21-year-old half-Mexican American actress/singer will drop by Fox’s reality singing competition on Thursday, November 7 to perform her latest hit single “Slow Down.”

The second single from the former Disney Channel star’s No. 1 album Stars Dance was released to radio on August 13. Since then it has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), for selling over 500,000 units of the single in the country.

On Billboard’s Pop Songs chart, it entered the top 10 and peaked at number 7.

Gomez is currently on a world tour to promote the album.

Lovato Leads Latino Pack of People’s Choice Award Nominees

Demi Lovato is apparently one of the People’s favorite choices in music…

The 21-year-old part-Mexican American singer, actress and The X Factor host has earned four People’s Choice Award nominations, the most of any Hispanic artist.

Lovato earned three of her four nods in the music category, including nominations for Favorite Female Artist 
and Favorite Pop Artist.

But Lovato isn’t the only multi-nominated Hispanic artist…

Bruno Mars earned three nominations, including nods in the Favorite Male Artist
 and Favorite Pop Artist categories.

Other Latin nominees include Glee’s Lea Michele and Selena Gomez, as well as the Spanish-language film from Mexican comedian/director Eugenio Derbez, Instructions Not Included.

Fans can vote for their favorites until December 5. The awards will be handed out January 8 in Los Angeles.

Lovato Releases “Let It Go” Music Video

Demi Lovato is bringing her new Disney track to life…

The 21-year-old part-Mexican American singer and The X Factor judge has released the official music video for “Let It Go,” one of the songs featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Disney animated film Frozen.

Running nearly four minutes, the video is simple but sweet. It features footage of the film, as well as scenes of Lovato belting out the inspirational song while playing the piano and wandering around a large abandoned home.

In the film, “Let It Go” is originally performed by Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa the Snow Queen in Frozen.

The song will be included in the movie’s soundtrack, which is set to arrive on Monday, November 25.

The film is based on Hans Christian Anderson‘s fairly tale, The Snow Queen. It tells the tale of two princesses, one of whom has the power to create snow and ice. After her power gets out of hand, she goes into hiding. Her fearless sister Anna, voiced by Kristen Bell, later embarks on a journey to find her in order to save their kingdom.

The movie opens in U.S. theaters on November 27.
