The 47-year-old half Puerto Rican and half Spanish actor has joined the 20th Television pilot for Hulu’s Downforce.
Del Puerto is among a roster of new cast additions that includes Harry Delano, Reece Shearsmith and Amar Chadha-Patel.
The film stars Eve Hewson and Murray Bartlett.
Downforce follows Victoria (Hewson), the estranged daughter of a storied racing team’s owner, Sir Trevor (Bartlett), who is thrust back into the family business, leaving the pair to find common ground or risk destroying the team’s legacy.
Del Puerto plays Emiliano, the ostentatious Spanish owner of a competing team who’s hellbent on destroying Regent Racing.
Alec Berg will direct the pilot and executive produce alongside Adam Countee, who have overall deals at 20th Television.
Del Puerto is currently recurring on the Netflix series Pulse and will next appear in the Netflix/A&E series The Lincoln Lawyer‘s second season.
His additional credits include the Apple+ series For All Mankind, Westworld for HBO, Godfather of Harlem for MGM+ and HBO’s Camping.
On the film front, he played opposite Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblumand Bill Pullman in Twentieth Century Fox’s Independence Day: Resurgence and the Universal Pictures feature Ride Along 2.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is on a special mission in the new season of The Lincoln Lawyer.
Netflix has released the trailed for the third season of the popular series starring the 43-year-old Mexican actor.
“It’s personal” for Mickey Haller, portrayed by Garcia-Rulfo, who is bound and determined to get to the bottom of who killed his former client Gloria Days (Fiona Rene).
“This one is personal, because it’s a client that he actually really cared about and thought she had gotten out of that life and out of danger,” co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez . “Mickey very much is [wondering], ‘Did he have something to do with this? Could he have done more to help her?’ ”

Netflix will premiere the third season of The Lincoln Lawyer on Thursday, October 17.
The third season sees the return of series stars Garcia-Rulfo, Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Yaya DaCosta. “There is no comparable flashback in the book, so we devised something that would also serve as a fitting introduction to the story of the season, both on a plot level but also emotionally. These images, of a young Mickey finishing up surfing before a life-changing day at work, as well as cuddling on the couch with his wife Maggie after putting their young daughter Hayley to bed, are from a pair of these flashback scenes that bookend the first episode and propel us into the rest of Season 3,” they added.
The Lincoln Lawyer revolves around Mickey Haller (Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.
The series was created for television by David E. Kelley and developed for television by Humphrey. Connelly is an executive producer and writer on the series. Ross Fineman and Kelley are also executive producers.
The series is produced by A+E Studios, and Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson serve as executive producers.

Anthony-Rodriguez is an Emmy-nominated actor who most recently appeared in Hulu’s The Company You Keepand Freeform’s Good Trouble.

The 47-year-old Dominican American actor has signed with Stewart Talent for representation.
Madera is best known for his work as a series regular in USA Network’s Queen of the South across the drama’s five seasons. Madera worked closely alongside Alice Braga starring as her character Teresa Mendoza’s loyal right-hand man and ride-or-die, Pote Gálvez. The series is an adaptation of Telemundo’s hit telenovelaLa Reina del Sur starring Kate del Castillo as Teresa.
Most recently, Madera reunited with Queen of the South co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez on Season 2 of the hit Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer, which Rodriguez co-showruns and executive produces alongside Ted Humphries. Madera played Agent Felix Vasquez.

The 44-year-old Mexican actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder will star in a new drama series, The Many Names of Aura, which is being developed by A+E Studios and Telemundo Global Studios.
Soto, who stars in Netflix’s You Cannot Hideand the telenovelaSeñora Acero, is fronting The Many Names of Aura.
The project marks the first time that A+E Studios, which is behind Netflix’sThe Lincoln Lawyer, and Telemundo Global Studios have teamed up.
Telemundo will produce and hold the U.S. rights and A+E Studios will oversee international distribution.

Throughout the show’s freshman season, Mickey is trying to find his footing again after spending time away from practicing law. He returns to Los Angeles where he finds himself dragged back into the business with a mystery to solve.
In the trailer, said mystery begins to unravel. His former colleague Jerry Vincent has left Mickey his legal practice, which includes the high-profile Trevor Elliott (Chris Gorham) murder trial. Elliott is accused of murdering his wife and her lover and it’s up to Mickey to prove his innocence.
And that’s not the only challenge Mickey is facing. He’s trying to put his family back together but his ex-wife Maggie (Neve Campbell) is hesitant and their daughter Hayley (Krista Warner) seems hopeful.
Oh, and Mickey’s second ex-wife Lorna (Becki Newton) is still in the picture though their relationship seems to be purely professional.
The 10-episode series also stars Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Michael Graziadei, and Jamie McShane.
