Kid Cudi

Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, performs The Ruler And The Killer.” The original track finds the Grammy-winning singer still in WZRD mode, with heavy drums and buzz-saw guitars propping up his pained groans and lurching hooks.

Fernandes Lends Her Voice to Taylor Swift Remix

She’s one of the most beloved singers in South America… And, now Paula Fernandes could see her popularity rise swiftly in the United States after collaborating with America’s county/pop superstar.

Paula Fernandes

The 27-year-old Brazilian sertanejo and country singer appears in a music video to promote a re-recorded version of Taylor Swift’s single “Long Live.”

The clip features Swift singing the song in front of live audience at a concert with Fernandes’ bilingual vocals (English/Portuguese), recorded in the studio, added to the mix.

The collaboration should come as no surprise, since both singers have praised each other openly in the past.

“I’m a fan of Taylor for a long time, her work is amazing,” said Fernandes recently.

Swift returned the compliment by gushing, “I was happy to share with Paula Long live.” She even gave her stamp of approval to the rework Fernandes—who was a Latin Grammys Best New Artist nominee last year—did to her song, “I loved your version.”

“Long Live” appears on Swift’s latest studio album “Speak Now“.

Lovato: A Celeb Gone Good!

There’s no denying Demi Lovato has a heart of gold… And, now she’s being recognized for giving back to the community.

The 19-year-old part-Mexican singer/actress—who has become a mental health advocate following her own personal struggles this years—has been named as one of this year’s Top 20 Celebs Gone Good, courtesy of DoSomething.org.

Demi Lovato to perform at the Latin Grammys

Lovato, who didn’t shy away from her personal struggles in 2011, landed at No. 10.

The former star of Disney’s Sonny with a Chancewho recently took on her former employer via Twitter after an inappropriate eating disorder joke—partnered with the Jed Foundation to get people talking about bullying and body image through her “Love is Louder Than the Pressure to Be Perfect” campaign.

As part of her quest to get girls to take action, Lovato opened up about her own personal struggles by acting as a spokesperson and guest editor for Seventeen magazine.

But Lovato wasn’t the only Latina making the list.

Colombian superstar Shakira, who was named the 2011 Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy, ranked at No. 11. The 34-year-old singing sensation has dedicated her life to promoting the importance of education. Last month, the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF visited India to promote learning among girls in impoverished areas. Earlier this year, Shakira was appointed to the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics.

Meanwhile, part-Spanish actress Lea Michele entered the Celebs Gone Good list for the first time at No. 16. The Glee star and animal-rights activist has been using her powerful voice to call for a ban on horse-drawn carriages. Michele, a devoted advocate for PETA, even filmed a shocking video that shows the brutal conditions the horses endure. And she encourages her followers to get involved by tweeting information about animal cruelty.

For the first time, DoSomething.org incorporated Facebook voting to help determine the impact of celebrities reaching an audience with their cause. Criteria required stars to do more than simply give money, but to take action such as building houses, writing articles or founding an organization. Other entertainers making the list are Lady Gaga, who came in at No. 1, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.

Gomez’s Swift Duet

Selena Gomez may be in the middle of her own “We Own The Night” tour, but that didn’t stop her from making a special appearance at best friend’s own concert.

The 19-year-old half-Mexican singer/actress joined Taylor Swift on stage at her sold-out show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden—the last stop on the country superstar’s worldwide “Speak Now” tour.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift perform first-ever duet

Swift invited Gomez to perform their first-ever duet together. While the crowd went absolutely wild, Swift and her “best friend” Gomez, performed a live rendition of Gomez’s hit “Who Says?

When Gomez returned to the stage sometime later for a final bow, she’d changed out of her sparkly black mini-dress and was wearing a Taylor Swift tour t-shirt!

Orrantia’s Lakoda Rayne Shines on The X Factor

There’s only one Hispanic contestant on Fox’s The X Factor… And, she’s still in the running to win the Simon Cowell-produced singing competition.

During last night’s let’s-give-thanks episode—where the nine remaining acts dedicated their songs to the people who’ve made a difference in their lives—17-year-old Hayley Orrantia gave thanks to her father, who gave up his dreams of opening a restaurant to support her singing aspirations.

The part-Mexican singer—part of the all-girl group Lakoda Rayne—and her fellow band mates performed Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” and received positive feedback from the judges. The group’s mentor, Paula Abdul, visibly wept and called their performance “fabulous” and added, ”You’ve proven to me that the sky is the limit!”

But will it be enough to keep Lakoda Rayne in the competition, especially with two acts going home this week?

Find out and catch a special performance by part-Puerto Rican crooner Bruno Mars on tonight’s results show on Fox at 8:00 pm ET.
