HBO to Release Camilo’s Concert Special on HBO Latino/HBO Max in November

Camilo is celebrating his first in a special way…

The 28-year-old Colombian singer, musician and songwriter, a Latin Grammy winner and Grammy nominee, is the latest music star to land a concert special and documentary at HBO.

CamiloCamilo: El Primer Tour De Mi Vida will premiere on Friday, November 18 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on HBO Latino and HBO Max in the U.S. and Latin America.

The special will cover Camilo as he embarks on his first world tour — the “Mis Manos” tour — which was originally delayed due to the Covid pandemic.

The tour kicks off in Spain and will feature appearances by Fito y Los Fitipaldis, Dani Martín, Mau y Ricky, Pablo Alborán and Nicky Nicole.

It will also reveal behind-the-scenes moments about bringing hits like “Tutu,” “Mareado,” “Por Primera Vez,” “Bebé,” “Ropa Cara,” “Tattoo,” and “Kesi” to his global fan base known affectionately as La Tribu.

Additionally, he and his wife and fellow artist Evaluna Montaner will offer a window into their life and special moments.

“We made this documentary with a deep desire to capture the first tour of my life and all the experiences we lived during the beautiful journey through 48 cities and 64 concerts. The ‘Mis Manos’ tour was a dream come true, especially because it gave me the chance to meet La Tribu face to face, the community born from digital encounters during the pandemic,” Camilo tells Deadline.

Camilo is a rising star in Latin music who boasts more than 5 billion views across all digital platforms around the world and more than 29 million followers on TikTok. He became the most nominated and awarded artist at the 22nd annual Latin Grammy Awards and broke sales records during the 2021 tour in Europe, U.S., Mexico and Colombia.

Prior to launching his career as a solo artist, Camilo wrote and produced multiple hits including “Sin Pijama” for Becky G and Natti Natasha; “Mi Mala” for his brothers-in-law, Mau y Ricky and Karol G; and “Si Estuviésemos Juntosfor Bad Bunny among others.

Shakira Earns First No. 1 on Billboard Argentina Hot 100 Chart with Rauw Alejandro-Collab “Te Felicito”

The 45-year-old Colombian singer has scored her first No. 1 on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart as “Te Felicito,” with Rauw Alejandro, rises 2-1 on the June 18-dated ranking.

It’s the first win for Shakira, dating back to her maiden visit to the tally with the top 20 “Clandestino,” with Maluma, in 2018.

The “Te Felicito” climb, meanwhile, marks Rauw Alejandro’s third No. 1 among a collection of 33 entries: “Tattoo,” with Camilo (July 2020), “Todo de Ti” (June 2021), both one-week champs, and now “Te Felicito.”

The Argentina Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs within Argentina.  The ranking is based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of leading audio and video music services as well as national radio airplay and plays of songs featured on a variety of Argentine TV networks.

Streaming data is provided by Luminate, while radio and TV measurement is tracked by BMAT/Vericast.

“Te Felicito” is the sixth collaborative title, among eight No. 1s, to lead the tally in 2022.

Notably, the two other No. 1s belong to already winners Paulo Londra and TINi, both which have held atop the survey for five consecutive weeks as solo acts, unaccompanied by any other artist, with “Plan A” (starting the March 26-dated tally) and “La Triple T” (starting the chart dated May 14), respectively.

Rauw Alejandro Earns Sixth No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart with “Todo de Ti”

In just over a year, the 28-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, singer and composer has notched six No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s Latin Airplay chart.

His most recent chart topper, “Todo de Ti,” reaches the summit on the latest ranking dated July 31, with 11.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, up 19%, according to MRC Data.

Alejandro first topped the list dated July 4, 2020, with “TBT,” alongside Sebastian Yatra and Manuel Turizo. He followed with “Tattoo,” with Camilo, in September; “La Nota,” with Turizo and Myke Towers, in January; “Baila Conmigo,” with Selena Gomez, in March; and “Vacio,” with Luis Fonsi, in May.

“Todo de Ti” holds at its No. 3 high on the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart, also up 4% to 9.9 million U.S. streams and 18% to 1,200 downloads sold. It becomes Alejandro’s third No. 1 on Latin Digital Song Sales, and his first on his own, following “Baila Conmigo,” with Gomez, in February, and “Cambia El Paso,” with Jennifer Lopez, just last week.

“Todo de Ti” also marks Alejandro’s top Billboard Hot 100 showing, having hit No. 32 earlier in July. The San Juan-born artist also sent the song to No. 3 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts in June.

The 26-year-old Colombian singer, songwriter, and producer continues his dominance on the Billboard charts with “Vida de Rico,” as the song hits No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart dated January 30.

It reigns in its 16th week, the longest hike to the top of the chart since the Black Eyed Peas’ 18-week trek with “Feel the Beat” in November 2020.

“Vida de Rico” surges ahead with 13.74 million in audience impressions, up 34% earned in the week ending January 24, according to MRC Data.

Rauw Alejandro Signs Exclusive Co-Publishing Deal with Warner Chappell Music

The 27-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, singer and composer has signed an exclusive co-publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.

The worldwide deal covers Rauw’s releases going forward.

“He’s a creative and fearless writer who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries and experiment with his sound,” said Gustavo Menendez, Warner Chappell Music, Latin America president, in a press statement. “Since breaking onto the scene he’s consistently released hit after hit, and has made a name for himself in the growing Latin urban space.”

Rauw, who was nominated for best new artist at the 2020 Latin Grammys, is currently making the rounds with his debut studio album Afrodisiaco, which opened at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart (dated November 28) and arriving at No. 75 on the all-genre Billboard 200. Additionally, “Tattoo,” with Camilo, “De Cora <3,” with J Balvin, and “Reloj” with Anuel AA, all entered the Hot Latin Songs chart this year.

“The team has done a great job connecting me with other producers for some of my favorite collaborations so far, and it’s a pleasure to now have them represent my music,” Rauw said, expressing he feels honored to form part of the Warner Chappell family.

Rauw Alejandro & Camilo’s “Tattoo” Reaches No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart

The 27-year-old Puerto Rican singer, rapper and songwriter and Camilo have earned their second No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart as “Tattoo” rises 4-1 on the September 12 survey.

“Tattoo” sits at the summit with 13 million in audience impressions, up 23%, earned in the week ending September 6, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

The original version of “Tattoo,” released February 13 via Sony Music Latin, was produced by Los Honeyboos (Rafa Rodríguez, Daniel Rondon) and Mr. Nais Gai. It’s one of 17 tracks of Rauw Alejandro’s live album Concierto Virtual en Tiempos de COVID-19 Desde el Coliseo de Puerto Rico which peaks at No. 8 on the current Latin Rhythm Albums chart and at No. 10 on the overall Top Latin Albums chart.

“Tattoo” was assisted by its pop-tinged remix with Colombian Camilo, released July 11. It was also produced and composed by Los Honeyboos and Mr. Nais Gai and composed by Alejandro, Camilo, Elena Rose, José M. Collazo, Eric Pérez Rovira, Eliel Lind Osorio, Aneudy Maysonet and Evaluna Montaner.

“Tattoo” concurrently peaks at No. 7 on the current Hot Latin Songs chart, which blends airplay, digital sales and streaming data, a career high for the Puerto Rican.

“Tattoo” also sees improvement elsewhere on the Latin charts: It equally climbs 4-1 on Latin Rhythm Airplay and moves 13-12 on Latin Streaming Songs despite a 2% decline in streams.

The song is part of a TikTok challenge with over 2.6 million videos posted by users. Its hashtag #TattooChallenge has garnered more than 633 million views.

The new take on the track stays true to its rhythmic pop core. Alejandro and Camilo trade slick verses about falling for a girl who has them wrapped around her finger. So much so, that Camilo’s willing to get her name tattooed on him.

The video finds Alejandro and Camilo having an epic beach day along with friends, as they offer up some serious Miami summer vibes. 

The original version “Tattoo,” released in February, is currently peaking at No. 50 on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs. On YouTube, the clip has more than 100 million views.

This marks the first collaboration between the two rising artists.
