Aguilera to Star in “Predator” Reboot “The Predator”

It’s preying time for Augusto Aguilera

The Latino actor has been cast in the final main role in 20th Century Fox’s Shane Black-directed reboot The Predator.

Aguilera is the final piece of the alien-hunter team alongside Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn and Keegan-Michael Key.

The plot is being kept under wraps, but the film is part of the original franchise that began with 1987’s Predator.

Black co-wrote the script with Fred Dekker.

Production began last month and Fox has already slated the film for release on February 9, 2018.

Aguilera, who appeared as Kieran on Chasing Life, has guest-starred on Major Crimes and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. His other credits include the Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s Hulu pilot Citizen, Ice for Antoine Fuqua and John Singleton’s FX pilot Snowfall.

Huertas Lands Recurring Role on NBC’s Dramedy “This Is Us”

Jon Huertas is heading to the Peacock Network

The 39-year-old Puerto Rican actor and Castle alum has booked a recurring role on Dan Fogelman’s NBC dramedy series This Is Us.

Starring Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us follows an ensemble — some of them sharing the same birthday — whose life stories intertwine in curious ways.

Huertas is set to portray Mike, Jack’s (Ventimiglia) co-worker and best friend.

Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson and Ron Cephas Jones also star.

Huertas played Detective Javier Esposito on ABC’s long-running hit drama series Castle, a role which earned him an Imagen Award, Alma Award and Prism Award.

Huertas also starred in Generation Kill and The Shield for FX. He can also be seen in the indie film Reparation.

Trejo to Participate in This Year’s Red Nose Day Special on NBC

It’s a Rudolph-like moment for Danny Trejo

The 72-year-old Mexican American actor, best known for portraying villains and anti-heroes, has signed on for NBC’s Red Nose Day Special.

The fundraiser, which aims to help lift kids out of poverty, will be broadcast live on May 26 from 9:00 – 11:oo pm ET on NBC.

The special, hosted by Craig Ferguson, features comedy, musical performances and short films that shed light on children in need here at home and around the world.

Also scheduled to make an appearance on the special are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tony Hale, Iwan Rheon, Sterling K. Brown, Yvette Nicole Brown, Margot Robbie, Jane Lynch, Connie Britton, Jay Pharaoh, Mayim BialikEllen DeGeneres, Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson, Sarah Silverman, Tracy Morgan, Key & Peele, Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Ellie Kemper, along with Kristen Bell, Emma Watson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Rose Byrne, Blake Griffin, Emma Thompson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Steve Buscemi, Adam Devine and Ron Funches. Additional talent will be announced at a later date.
