Demi Lovato

After teasing a “major announcement” Wednesday night (October 25), Lovato kept her promise by revealing a 20-date North American tour Thursday (October 26). Kicking off in San Diego on February 26, Lovato’s tour will make stops in Dallas, Brooklyn, Boston, Miami and more U.S. cities through March 31.

Lovato also announced that DJ Khaled will be supporting her on the tour — something he’s pretty stoked about.

“They didnt want us to go on tour together… #werecomingforyou,” Khaled wrote on social media. “FAN LUV SEE YOU SOON !”
Lovato and Khaled gave fans a taste of what their tour will be like at the iHeartRadio Music Festival — the “I’m the One” mastermind surprised the crowd with the pop diva to sing her hit “Sorry Not Sorry” during his fest-closing set on Sept. 24.

Demi Lovato Shares New Single “Sexy Dirty Love”

Demi Lovato is getting Dirty

The 25-year-old part-Mexican American singer/actress has shared another song, “Sexy Dirty Love,” off of her upcoming album Tell Me You Love Me, which is due out on September 29.

Demi Lovato

The lust-filled “Sexy Dirty Love” joins “Sorry Not Sorry,” title track “Tell Me You Love Me” and “You Don’t Do It for Me Anymore” as singles released ahead of the album.

“Sorry Not Sorry” has peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In “Sexy Dirty Love,” Lovato sings about fantasy beginning through the phone in the first verse:

Hittin’ me up late always be blowin’ up my phone
I’m lying awake wonderin’ why I’m still alone
Lord knows I am sinning, please forgive me for my lust
Sending pictures back and forth
Babe, I’m craving your touch

And once we hit the chorus, Lovato is carrying out lust in real life.

You got me so high
Pull me closer into you and watch our bodies intertwine
I feel so alive
You know what I’m thinking of
Got me dreamin’ ’bout that sexy dirty love
Sexy dirty love
Sexy dirty love
Sexy dirty love

The song is released at an ironic time given that the week prior has found Lovato in the spotlight over the seeming ambiguity of her sexual orientation, which she addressed in a tweet reading, “If you’re that curious about my sexuality, watch my documentary. But I don’t owe anybody anything.” That documentary will be exclusive to YouTube following the release of her album on September 29.

For now, Spotify users can listen to “Sexy Dirty Love” below.

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Top Spotify’s Global Top 30 Songs of the Summer 2017 List

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are officially the stars of the summer…

Spotify has revealed its global most-streamed songs of the summer, and 39-year-old Puerto Rican singer and 40-year-old Puerto Rican rapper’s juggernaut “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, reigns supreme.

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee

The smash hit — which this week capped its record-breaking 16th week atop the Billboard Hot 100 — garnered more than 786 million streams on Spotify this summer, specifically between June 21 and August 27.

In global streams, “Despacito” is followed by DJ Khaled‘s “Wild Thoughts” with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller at No. 2, and French Montana‘s “Unforgettable” at No. 3.

In the U.S., “Despacito” is instead followed by Lil Uzi Vert‘s “XO TOUR Llif3” at No. 2, with “Wild Thoughts” taking No. 3. Later down the line on both lists are Calvin Harris, Kendrick Lamar, Charlie Puth, Demi Lovato and others.

Spotify’s head of Latin culture Rocio Guerrero is calling 2017 “the summer of Latin music,” with five Spanish-language songs featured in the global top 30 ranking.

The list includes Willy William and J Balvin‘s “Mi Gente,” Maluma‘s “Felices los 4,” Danny Ocean‘s “Me Rehúso,” and both the original “Despacito” and remix featuring Bieber.

Notably, only seven female artists make the global top 30 list, and only three — Demi Lovato with “Sorry Not Sorry,” Rita Ora with “Your Song” and Maggie Lindemann with “Pretty Girls” — are the main artists, rather than featured guests, on their included tracks.

Following the all-girl group’s performance, as well as its win for Best Pop Video during the ceremony, the track jumped 205 percent in sales.

“Down” debuted at number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week dated June 24, 2017, with first week sales of 36,000 copies, 9.2 million streams and a 7.1 million audience reach.

This marked their second highest debut on this chart, following “Work from Home,” which debuted at number 12.

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” saw a 41 percent uptick in sales. The 25-year-old part-Mexican American singer performed the track, backed by a gospel choir, in front of a pool full of people.

“Sorry Not Sorry” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 52 three days following its release.

It sold 45,000 copies in the US alone in its first three days.

Demi Lovato Releases New Single “Tell Me You Love Me”

It’s days like this for Demi Lovato

The 25-year-old part-Mexican American singer/actress has released the title track to her upcoming Tell Me You Love Me album.

Demi Lovato

Tell Me You Love Me” is the follow-up to lead single “Sorry Not Sorry.”

Compared to the confident, unapologetic “Sorry Not Sorry,” Lovato sings a different tune of longing on “Tell Me You Love Me.”

“Oh no, here we go again/ Fighting over what I said/ I’m sorry, yeah I’m sorry/ Bad at love, no, I’m not good at this/ But I can’t say I’m innocent/ Not hardly, but I’m sorry,” the first verse begins.

On the chorus, Lovato pleads, “Oh, tell me you love me/ I need someone on days like this, I do.”

The single is now streaming and available for download.

The full album, out on Sept. 29, is available for pre-order here.
