Daniel Zovatto has new representation…

The 33-year-old Costa Rican actor has officially signed with Gersh.

Daniel ZovattoZovatto can most recently be seen starring opposite Anna Kendrick in her directorial debut, Woman of ther Hour, for Netflix.

He was also recently seen in The Pope’s Exorcist opposite Russell Crowe from director Julius Avery.

Zovatto can be seen as “The Prophet” in the HBO Max series Station Eleven, directed by Hiro Murai.

He’s currently filming Bear Country from director Derrick Borte opposite Crowe and Aaron Paul.

Zovatto is also now wrapped on Famous from Jody Hill for A24 alongside a cast including Zac Efron, Phoebe Dynevor and Nicholas Braun. He also recently wrapped Catherine Hardwicke’s next feature, Street Smart, in which he also serves as an executive producer.

Other past credits include playing lead in John Logan’s Showtime series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.

Prior to that, he shot the lead in Cameron Van Hoy’s indie Flinch with Tilda Cobham-Hervey. Zovatto can also be seen starring in Alan Ball’s series Here and Now on HBO. Other credits include Heavy, opposite Sophie Turner, Fede Alvarez’s Don’t Breathe and David Robert Mitchell’s It Follows.

His additional credits include Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird and Drake DoremusNewness.

Quibi to Stream All-Star Remake of “The Princess Bride” Featuring Jenna Ortega

Starting Monday, Quibi will stream an all-star remake of The Princess Bride filmed by actors at home while in quarantine, including the 17-year-old Puerto Rican and Mexican American actress.

In addition to Ortega, the re-creation will feature an A-list cast that includes couples Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner,Common and Tiffany HaddishNeil Patrick Harris and David Burtka and Chris Pine and Annabelle Wallis, along with Hugh JackmanJennifer GarnerElijah Wood, Jon HammBeanie FeldsteinLucas HedgesJack BlackDavid OyelowoKeegan-Michael KeyPatton OswaltJosh GadAndy SerkisDiego LunaTaika Waititi and Zazie Beetz and more.

Directed by Jason Reitman, the project will see Common playing the heroic Westley (originated by Cary Elwes), Haddish as Princess Buttercup (first played by Robin Wright), and Jackman as the villainous Humperdinck, to name a few.

The Princess Bride’s director, Rob Reiner, will also appear in the remake, along with Fred Savage, who reprises his role as the grandson in the film.

Beginning June 29, Quibi will release chapters of the made-at-home movie daily for two weeks.

The remake also is aiding a good cause. As part of the project, Quibi has donated $1 million to chef José Andrés’ charity World Central Kitchen, which provides meals to those who have been most affected by the coronaviruspandemic.

Diego Luna to Star in the Anthology Film “Berlin, I Love You”

Diego Luna is spreading a little Liebe to Germany…

The 37-year-old Mexican actor, producer and director will star in the anthology film Berlin, I Love You, the latest feature in the Cities of Love series launched by Emmanuel Benbihy in 2006 with the release of Paris, je t’aime, followed by New York, I Love You (2008) and Rio, I Love You (2014).

Luna joins an ensemble cast that includes Jenna Dewan Tatum, Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, Jim Sturgess, Mickey Rourke, Orlando Bloom, Sophie Turner, Jack Huston, Patrick Dempsey and Renee Zellweger.

Like the other films, Berlin, I Love You will feature short stories of romance, this time set in the German capital.

Written by Neil La Bute and David Vernon, the segments are being directed by Fernando Eimbcke, Dennis Gansel, Massy Tadjedin, Peter Chelsom, Til Schweiger, Justin Franklin, Dani Levy and Dianna Agron. Josef Rusnak will helm the transition sequence that ties all the episodes together.
