Selena Gomez Releases New Single “Bad Liar” on Spotify

It’s a bad day for Selena Gomez

The 24-year-old Mexican American singer/actress has released her new “Bad Liar” on Spotify.

Selena Gomez

“With all my feelings on fire, guess I’m a bad liar,” she sings over a polished groove featuring rhythmic hand claps.

After hearing the vocal-free snippet, some eager Selenators figured track bore a striking resemblance to the Talking Heads classic “Psycho Killer.”

David Byrne, it turns out, is a fan of Gomez’ latest.

“Bad Liar” follows Gomez’s collaboration with Kygo, “It Ain’t Me,” which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

There’s no word yet on whether the heartbreak song will appear on an album project.

Gomez Breaks the 100-Million Follower Mark on Instagram

Selena Gomez is the Instagram Queen…

The 24-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress, who is currently taking a break from social media and the spotlight, is the first person to see their Instagram account break the 100-million follower mark.

Selena Gomez

Gomez’s fans, the Selenators, launched a campaign to push her over the top.

Even though Gomez hasn’t posted any new images since a pic from her now-canceled Revival Tour, the high tally puts her above such fellow Instagram queens as Taylor Swift (91.4 million), Beyonce (85.3 million), Ariana Grande (85 million) and Kim Kardashian (83.6 million).

Gomez canceled the remainder of her tour to deal with what she said was Lupus-related depression, which also spurred her current social media holiday. She was already the top Instagram celeb, but when Selenators saw she was near the 100 million mark they started the #SelenaBreakTheInternet hash to get her over the mark.

A spokesperson for Instagram confirmed that Gomez is the most-followed person on the social network.

Gomez Teases New Music Video with Sultry Shower Image

Selena Gomez may be baring it all in her next music video…

The 22-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress took to Instagram on Monday to share a steamy photo that many fans assume was snapped while Gomez was filming the video.

Selena Gomez

The photo shows the former Disney Channel star posing naked under pouring water in a dimly lit shower.

“Ready.. #itscomingsoon,” Gomez wrote in the caption.

There’s still no official word if the picture is indeed a preview of her music video.

Gomez is currently working hard on her next studio album, which will mark her first since leaving Disney-owned Hollywood Records and joining Interscope. Her manager Aleen Keshishian recently promised that the first offering from the follow-up to 2013’s Stars Dance would arrive “soon,” so that Selenators “will have a good summer!”

Earlier this year, Gomez teamed up with Zedd for “I Want You to Know from the DJ’s True Colors album and appeared as BFF Taylor Swift‘s nemesis in the star-studded “Bad Blood” music video.

Gomez Earns Top Honors at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Selena Gomez

Gomez beat out Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift for the coveted orange blimp in the Favorite Female Singer category.

In addition, Gomez took home the award for #1 Fan Army for her oh-so-committed Selenators.

Gomez, who has won at least one Kids’ Choice Award every year since 2009, has raised her overall orange blimp count to eight.
