Alejandro Sanz is encouraging you to help Save the Arctic…
The 44-year-old Spanish singer has recorded a video to raise awareness on how climate change and destructive industry is affects the planet in the North Pole and beyond.
It’s all part of Greenpeace’s “Save The Arctic” campaign, which aims to demonstrate evidence of the possible consequences of the disappearance of the continental and marine ice in the Arctic on the world.
The Grammy-winning singer joined forces with the environmental organization to encourage people throughout the world to sign a petition to have the United Nations General Assembly declare a global sanctuary in the North Pole and ban drilling and destructive industry in the Arctic.
In the video, Sanz expresses his concern for the environmental effects of oil drilling, industrial fishing and conflict in the Arctic; and he encourages others to act now to protect the North Pole so that his children can enjoy the world and its marvels as they exist today.
Greenpeace warns that the Arctic could remain without marine ice in the next 10 to 20 years, which will have serious effects on the rest of the world.
