Eva Longoria is making a spectacle of herself…

The 40-year-old Mexican American actress and philanthropist has signed on as a style ambassador for Specsavers.

Eva Longoria

As part of the agreement, Longoria will serve as the judge for the 2015 Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition presented by the New Zealand eyewear brand.

“As a glasses wearer I care about looking great in my frames,” says Longoria. “That’s why I’m thrilled to be launching Specsavers’ Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition and visiting New Zealand later this month to kick off the search.

“Wearing glasses is all about having fun and embracing your style. Whether I’m on set filming, studying or at a special event, accessorizing my look with glasses gives me confidence and allows me to make the ultimate style statement.”

Spectacle Wearer of the Year is a nationwide search to find New Zealand’s most stylish and confident spec-wearer. Longoria will join New Zealand comedian, Jeremy Corbett and L’Oréal Professionnel stylist, Peter Dutton to judge the competition.

They will also receove spending money and a Spectacle Wearer of the Year prize pack including $500 worth of product from L’Oréal Professionnel and a year’s supply of designer glasses from Specsavers.

Longoria follows in the footsteps of previous ambassadors including; actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, style icon and Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, WORLD designer Denise L’Estrange-Corbet, model and TV personality Colin Mathura-Jeffree, TV fashion star Gok Wan and media personality Paul Henry.

Gomez has won at least one TCA prize every year since 2009, when she picked up three awards. This year she’s up for Choice Female Hottie and Choice Smile.

The “Come & Get It” singer joins an A-list roster of entertainers who previously received the honor, including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ashton Kutcher, Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Mike Myers.

Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey will host the big show, which airs on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 8:00 pm ET on Fox.

Lambert, along with Riley, Smash star Megan Hilty and Glee alum Cheyenne Jackson, will take the stage for special performances.

Others scheduled to make an appearance include Dot-Marie Jones and Harry Shum, Jr., of Glee, Sarah Michelle Gellar of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Crazy Ones; Hannah Simone of New Girl; Andrew Rannells of  Girls; Allison Janney of Mom and Masters of Sex; TV host Ricki Lake and Jennifer Coolidge of American Pie.

The show will be produced by So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman, whose directing and producing credits include Rock of Ages, Hairspray, Glee and the 2010 Academy Awards.

The red carpet and pre-show will be shown via livestream.

Del Negro Heading to the CW’s “Ringer”…

Matthew Del Negro is preparing to showcase his investigation skills in one of this season’s hottest shows…

The 39-year-old Latino actor has signed on to appear in the CW’s new drama Ringer, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Matthew Del Negro

Del Negro will play Agent Grady Torrance, a cocky, slick and smooth agent with his own agenda who just happens to be the archenemy of Agent Machado—played by 44-year-old Cuban American actor Nestor Carbonell—at the bureau. So expect the two to cross paths and up the drama quotient!

Del Negro, who most recently appeared on TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles, will make his first appearance on Ringer in the March
6 episode.

He’s best known for starring as Brian Cammarata on The Sopranos and  Bram Howard on The West Wing.
