Santiago Cruz is celebrating women…
The 41-year-old Colombian singer/songwriter has just released a powerful music video for his anthem of female empowerment anthem “Contar hasta 3 (o hasta 10),” just as s Women’s History Month draws to a close.
Paying tribute to strong, hard-working women around the world, Cruz features stories of sacrifice and perseverance in the visual, including those of female athletes like Colombian boxer Sisley Chow Siado and skaters Daniela & Susa.
The impactful clip was filmed in Medellíin, Colombia and directed by Laura Mora.
“Contar hasta 3 (o hasta 10)” was penned by Cruz and Latin Grammy-winning producer Julio Reyes Copello.
Throughout Women’s History Month, Cruz performed the poignant track at a women’s prison in Bogotá and Barranquilla and at non-profit organizations dedicated to empower women.
“The Colombian woman, women from every part of the world, powerful, courageous, fighters, the ones that fall and stand up again, the ones that build… This is a little bit of what we lived,” Cruz writes in a Facebook caption for the video.
