“Cool for the Summer” bows with 834,000 U.S. streams for the week ending July 5, according to Nielsen Music, which helps spark its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 36.

The song possibly picked up extra attention thanks to Lovato’s performances of the track at several events.

“Cool for the Summer” is the lead single from Lovato’s upcoming fifth album, the follow up to 2013’s Demi, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period (Monday to Sunday).

Safehouse Records is the home of a new artist-centric label that will not only see the release of Lovato’s next album — her fifth studio effort, which will arrive via a creative partnership between Safehouse, Island and her current label, Disney-owned Hollywood Records — but also new signings in the near future.

“I’ve worked closely with both Nick and Phil for years and we share the same point of view when it comes to making music,” said of her part-ownership in Safehouse, “It’s incredibly exciting to be part of this new company where I’m in control of all aspects of my career. I can’t wait to share what we’re working on!”

Label co-founders Jonas and McIntye add that teaming up with Island means “access to the best marketing and promotion available.”

In an interview with Billboard, Island Records CEO and president David Massey explained that his relationship with McIntyre goes back 10 years and that he’s been impressed with McIntyre’s “career objectives and work ethic.” Ultimately, when talk of a label began about a year ago, Massey added, “I really liked the culture he wanted to create: a small label that’s highly focused and very artist-driven as opposed to something that would have to be able to grow exponentially.”

Jonas is currently signed to Island where his self-titled debut has yielded two hit singles, “Jealous” and “Chains.”

Disney Music Group‘s current Hollywood Records roster features acts in a variety of genres, including Grace PotterBea MillerSabrina CarpenterR5 and Breaking Benjamin.
