Natti Natasha Earns 10th No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart with “Mayor Que Usted,” Featuring Daddy Yankee & Wisin y Yandel

It’s a perfect 10 for Natti Natasha

The 35-year-old Dominican singer has captured her 10th chart-topper on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart dated September 3 with “Mayor Que Usted,” her hit collaboration with Daddy Yankee and Wisin & Yandel.

Yankee earned his 27th No. 1 while Wisin & Yandel clocked their 15th champ as a duo.

“Mayor Que Usted” laps all competitors in the No. 1 race boosted by a 31% in audience impressions, to 9.47 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending August 28, according to Luminate.

The track, released June 16 via Pina/Sony Music Latin, reaches the No. 1 slot as the Greatest Gainer of the week, in its 10th frame.

For Natti, “Mayor” marks her third No. 1 on the chart through a Daddy Yankee collaboration. The pair previously partnered up with two back-to-back champs: “No Lo Trates,” with Pitbull, and “Runaway,” with Sebastián Yatra and Jonas Brothers, both one-week rulers in 2019. “Otra Cosa,” her first collaboration with Daddy Yankee, narrowly missed the No. 1 slot, hitting No. 11 in 2017.

“Mayor Que Usted” also climbs to the Latin Rhythm Airplay summit in its 10th week with the most increased audience honors.

While Natti continues to rank second among female acts with nine No. 1s (Karol G continues at the helm with 13 champs), Daddy Yankee ties with J Balvin for the most overall, both with 34 hits.

The 29-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer-songwriter is joining voices with the Jonas Brothers for the band of brothers’ new single “X.”

The JoBros revealed the artwork for the new single, which shows a white outlines letter X on top of red lips, on their social media accounts.

Without giving too many details, the Jonas Brothers also announced that “X” will be released this Friday, May 15.

On release day, KevinJoe, and Nick Jonas will take part in and answer fan questions in a virtual SiriusXM Hits 1 Celebrity Session hosted by The Morning Mash Up, where they’ll interact with an audience of frontline healthcare workers and their families from across the country. 

The Jonas Brothers will talk about their music, including their upcoming collaboration with Karol G.

Their Karol G-assisted track marks the second time the Jonas Brothers have teamed up with a Latin act, following the 2019 summer bop “Runaway” with Sebastian Yatra,Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha.

The 26-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer took the Grammy stage at Los Angeles’ Staples Center for a high-octane performance of his song “Runaway” during the show.

Singing underneath a marquee emblazoned with his name, Mars—looking dapper in a 24-karat gold bowtie and blazer—helped lift the mood in the arena, which was grieving the death of Whitney Houston.

His performance may have focused on the party, but Mars still managed to show some love for Houston by giving her a shout-out mid-song.

“Yo, tonight we celebrate. We celebrate the beautiful Miss Whitney Houston,” shouted Mars from the stage. “Get off your rich asses and let’s have fun!”

Mars was backed by a full band—complete with a horn section—that paid homage to his love of music from the ’60s.


Mars’ hit song “Grenade” was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, while his album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, was up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
