Manuel Turizo to Perform During 91st Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Rockefeller Center

Manuel Turizo is helping celebrate another holiday in the United States…

Following his debut appearance at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 23-year-old Colombian singer will helping light the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York City.

Manuel TurizoThe popular Manhattan landmark will be hosting its 91st annual lighting ceremony on Wednesday, November 29 at 8:00 pm ET. The 2023 Christmas tree lighting ceremony is bound to get you in the holiday spirit with the help of a slew of guests and musical performances.

This year, Kelly Clarkson will be hosting the tree lighting ceremony and performing on the show that will feature appearances from Today’s Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Craig Melvin.

In addition to Turizo, you can also expect musical performances from Chloe Bailey, Adam Blackstone, Cher, David Foster, Liz Gillies, Darlene Love, Seth MacFarlane, Barry Manilow, Katharine McPhee, Keke Palmer, Carly Pearce, Radio City Rockettes and more.

The ceremony will air on NBC and Peacock.

Howie Dorough & Fellow Backstreet Boys Release Claymation Video for “Christmas in New York”

The 49-year-old half-Puerto Rican singer and his fellow Backstreet Boys have released a new music video for their holiday track “Christmas in New York.”

Howie Dorough, BSB, Backstreet BoysThe sweet and sentimental visual sees the quintet — Nick Carter, Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson — passionately singing the holiday track while their claymation counterparts explore a twinkling New York City during Christmas time.

The claymation dolls of the boy group witness and participate in classic scenes.

One features a dressed up Santa with an elf at his side ringing a bells and asking for donations with a big red bucket. The dolls head down to the TV-decorated intersection of Times Square, take a horse-drawn carriage ride in Central Park, view the holiday windows at Macy’s 34th street and go ice-skating in Rockefeller Center.

“All the elves are busy/ On Macy’s eighth floor/ It’s good to know there is still a miracle on 34th/ But what I love the most/ Is holding you this close/ This is what they made the Season for/ Oh, spending Christmas in/ Oh, another Christmas in/ Oh, yes, another Christmas in New York,” Littrell closes out the song with the rest of the members.

“Christmas in New York” hails from the boy band’s A Very Backstreet Christmas. The LP — which marked the group’s first collection of yuletide songs and its first studio effort in three years — was released on October 14 via BMG. The set charted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 following its release.

In addition to “Christmas in New York,” other holiday tracks like “White Christmas,” “Silent Night,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” are included on the album.

“Christmas in New York” is one of three original Christmas songs on the album; the others are titled “Together” and “Happy Days.”

Kirstin Maldonado & Her Pentatonix Group Mates to Perform at NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” Tree Lighting Ceremony

Kirstin Maldonado is ready to light up the Christmas holidays…

The 26-year-old half-Mexican and part-Spanish American singer/songwriter and her Pentatonix group mates have been added to the star-studded lineup for NBC’s 86th annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree lighting, which will take place on November 28.

In addition to Pentatonix, the a cappella group that has found great success with their holiday music, this year’s performers include Diana RossTony Bennett Diana KrallBrett Eldredge, Darci Lynne FarmerJohn LegendMartina McBride and Kellie Pickler, with more to be announced.

Howie Mandel will also make a special guest appearance, and NBC’s Today anchors Hoda Kotb, Savannah GuthrieAl Roker and Craig Melvin are hosting the anticipated holiday event.

NBC first televised the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in 1951 on The Kate Smith Show, 20 years after it initially found itself a home on the plaza.

This year’s holiday tree is a 72-foot tall, 45-foot wide Norway Spruce that weighs over 12 tons and is around 75 years old. It will be wrapped in approximately five miles of wire containing over 50,000 multi-colored LEDs and topped with a 900-pound star covered in 3 million Swarovski crystals.

The tree lighting will be broadcast live on NBC November 28 at 8:00 pm ET. Select NBC stations will feature an additional special live hour of the broadcast hosted by Mario Lopez and WNBC’s Stefan Holt and Natalie Pasquarella at 7:00 pm ET.

Colon’s “Voice” to Help Ring in the Holidays…

Javier Colon has locked in his plans to kick-off the upcoming holiday season… He’ll be a special guest at the Christmas tree lighting at New York City’s Rockefeller Center.

The 33-year-old Dominican & Puerto Rican American winner of NBC’s hit reality singing competition The Voice will perform live on NBC’s
Christmas Tree Lighting Special.

Colon will join Tony Bennett, Justin Bieber, Michael Buble, Cee Lo Green, Faith Hill, Carole King and Katharine McPhee as they perform classic and modern holiday songs.

The holiday special, which dates back to 1933, will air live on NBC on November 30 at 8:00 pm with co-hosts Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie.

The event will showcase a 10-ton Norway Spruce holiday tree measuring 74 feet tall and 46 feet in diameter.
