There’s more class in store for Ricardo Hoyos…

Netflix has renewed DeGrassi: Next Class, starring the 20-year-old part-Peruvian and part-Ecuadorian actor, for a second season.

A continuation of DeGrassi: Next Generation that ran for 14 seasons on TeenNick, Next Class follows the lives of the students from Degrassi Community School, a fictional high school in Toronto. Hoyos plays the skateboarder Zig on the show.

It’s created and executive produced by Yan Lee and Linda Schuyler. Stefan Brogren directs.

The second season of DeGrassi: Next Class will premiere worldwide on Netflix on July 22.
