Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, will portray Ari Gold’s (Jeremy Piven) new assistant now that Lloyd (Rex Lee) has moved up to rep.

It’s the latest role on an HBO-based project from Kid Cudi, who previously starred on the cable network’s comedy series How to Make It in America.

He’s about to appear opposite Aaron Paul in the DreamWorks video game adaptation Need For Speed.

Kid Cudi just wrapped the films James White and Two Night Stand.

He’s also set to perform at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

He’ll join Lindsay Lohan and Entourage scene-stealer Rex Lee on the show’s season three finale, according to E! Online.

No specifics on Hilton’s role as a judge have been announced, but show sources opened up to E! Online about Lohan’s role, saying the 25-year-old actress “has some funny moments as she plays a ‘heightened’ version of herself, including being disappointed she doesn’t get a red chair that whips around like on The Voice.”

Lohan will reportedly have a long speech “where she talks about kid performers, and how hard they work, and how much she supports the arts.”

The third season finale of Glee is slated to air Tuesday, May 15.
