The37-year-old Mexican telenovela star and singer will be starring in the new Telemundo telenovela La Patrona, which is set to premiere on January 8, according to the network.
Arámbula will share the screen with Jorge Luis Pila and popular Argentine actress Christian Bach in the highly anticipated Mexican soap opera.
It’s Arámbula’s first production with the network after signing an exclusive contract last May to join Telemundo’s talent pool.
La Patrona tells the story of Gabriela Suarez, portrayed by Arámbula, the only woman working in a mine in San Pedro del Oro, a Mexican village where the miners don’t allow a woman in a world dominated by men.
Arámbula’s character falls in love with Alejandro Beltran (Pila), with whom she has a complicated romance that’s opposed by the mother, Antonia Guerra (Bach), known as “the boss.”
Arámbula began her acting career in 1995 with a part in the telenovela Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma; and she went on to star in Cañaveral de Pasiones, El Alma No Tiene Color, Soñadoras, Rencor Apasionado and Corazon Salvaje, among others.
