Reik & Super Junior Team Up on Trilingual Track “One More Time (Otra Vez)”

Reik is expanding their language base…

The Mexican band, one of the country’s most successful pop acts, has joined voices with K-pop band Super Junior on the new single “One More Time (Otra Vez).”

Reik

The trailblazing acts partnered up in Macau to film the chic music video to their trilingual track, share some exclusive reflections with Billboard and show off their burgeoning friendship.

In their interview, Super Junior and Reik share their admiration for one another.

“Without a doubt, Reik was highly recommended by others,” says Super Junior singer Leetuk. “They were so willing to collaborate with us so we would like to send our appreciation to Reik.”

Meanwhile, Reik see their SuJu collab as their latest step forward after a huge 2018 on the charts where they scored their first No. 1 on Billboard‘s Latin Airplay chartwith “Me Niego,” as well as their second No. 1 on the Latin Pop Songs Airplay chart with “Amigos con Derechos” in November.

“We always say you put your heart and your soul into everything you do, and it’s the audience’s job to decide how big of a hit it becomes,” adds Reik’s lead vocalist Jesus Navarro. “It’s very exciting to be mixing these two worlds — Korean music and Latin music are having such huge moments worldwide, and it’s a great moment for this collaboration to happen.”

Brush up on your Spanish and Korean slang as Reik teach the K-pop stars the meaning of “a huevo!” (after admitting it’s the least dirty phrase they could teach on camera) while SuJu helps the Latin-pop trio understand the meaning and pronunciation for “hul daebak!”

Reik Joins Voices with Maluma for New Track “Amigos Con Derechos”

Reik is making sweet music with a new Amigo

The Mexican band is already killing it when it comes to the romantic/urban genre, and now they’ve joined voices with one Latin music’s biggest of-the-moment stars on a new track.

Maluma & Reik

Reik has partnered with superstar Maluma to release the song and video for “Amigos Con Derecho.

The new song, written by Julio Ramirez (Reik’s guitarist), Andres Castro and Servando Primera, tells the story of a couple who are in love but don’t want to give a title to their relationship. They just want to be friends with benefits.

“Amigos con Derechos” was released alongside a music video that carries a beautiful story of a young couple having a romantic date in Las Vegas that goes so well, they decide to get married. In the end, when she wakes up (as an old woman), everything seems to have been a dream — but it really wasn’t. The couple spent their whole life together.

“Amigos Con Derecho” is the fourth song that Reik has recorded with an urban artist.
