VF7 will perform her first-ever concert… But she’ll have to do it without an audience.
The 13-year-old Puerto Rican reggaetón rising singer, whose real name is Valeria Fernández, will offer her first-ever concert, one without an audience, at Puerto Rico’s El Coliseo de Puerto Rico on June 19.
As part of El Colseo’s “Quarantine Live Concerts Series,” VF7’s virtual show, live from the island’s biggest venue, follows Rauw Alejandro‘s livestream from El Coliseo on May 16 when the venue opened its doors for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown.
“I always dreamed of singing at el Choli. I am very excited and I want it to be huge. I will give it my all for all my fans around the world,” VF7 said in a statement.
About VF7’s show in El Coliseo, its general manager Eduardo Cajina said, “El Choliseois known internationally as the house of reggaetón, which is why we’re very happy to be the venue where VF7 will offer her first concert,” he said. Adding, “we want to take this opportunity to congratulate this young Puerto Rican artist for making a name for herself in the urbanogenre. We know she will achieve many things and it’s an honor to be part of her artistic career development.”
Spotlighted in Billboard‘s list of 17 Latina artists to discover during quarantine, VF7 had major plans this year including her first tours of Spain and Mexico, which were ultimately postponed amid the global pandemic.
The virtual concert, sponsored by El Coliseo de Puerto Rico and Sora and Company, will take place on June 19 at 8:00 pm ET and can be streamed via VF7’s YouTube channel.
