Carin León Announces Boca Chueca Tour 2024

The 34-year-old Mexican music star will launch his Boca Chueca Tour 2024 this fall.

Promoted by AEG Presents in partnership with CMN, the trek will hit major cities across North America and Europe, including one night at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, two nights at the United Center in Chicago and his debut performance at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Following the North American leg, the Sonora-born artist will head to Europe, with confirmed dates in Madrid, London, Amsterdam and Paris.

“Embarking on this tour is an exhilarating opportunity to share my new music with fans throughout North America and Europe alike,” the “Primera Cita” singer said in a statement. “Taking my songs and the vibrant essence of Música Mexicana to a global stage is truly an honor.”

Since launching his solo career in 2018, León has established himself as one of Mexican music’s most versatile and eclectic artists today.

His country-tinged, soulful regional Mexican sound has also played a big role in globalizing música mexicana.

The Boca Chueca tour announcement comes on the heels of León’s debut at Coachella, where he gave a riveting performance that included surprise guests such as Mau y Ricky and Molotov. He’s set to make his debut at Stagecoach Festival on Friday, April 26. He’ll also be the opening act for The Rolling Stones show in Glendale, Calif., on May 7 at State Farm Stadium.

Carin Leon Releases New Single “Primera Cita”

The 33-year-old Mexican regional music singer, composer and guitarist has released his new single “Primera Cita.”

Carin LeonThe single, the first track from his upcoming album Colmillo de Leche, spotlights his soul-deep raspy vocals and his ability to convey feelings through his songs and melodies with more traditional Mexican sounds

Leon conveys his passion for R&B and soul on the track.

“This song was a surprise for us since it was an experiment for our Tiny Desk recording — we made a little soul and fused it with regional Mexican to create something exciting,” he recently told Billboard. 

In the track, he wistfully sings, “I saw you, and you looked at me/ At the beginning, it was a joke/ Then the truth comes out we exchange smiles/ Some time passed, just under an hour/ And under the table, your heel touched my boot.”

Wisin to Serve as Coach on Telemundo’s “La Voz”

Wisin is ready to find and coach the next big Latin music voice…

The 39-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton superstar, whose real name is Juan Luis Morera Luna, has been confirmed as the third coach of Telemundo‘s La Voz, according to Billboard.

In addition to being a singer, Wisin produces his own music, is part of the duo Wisin y Yandel and was also in charge of CNCO‘s first album, Primera Cita.

He has also co-produced forJenniferLopezChayanneOzuna and more.

“I’m more than ready to start this new adventure and have the challenge of finding that voice,” Wisin said in a statement.

Wisin now joins Luis Fonsi and Alejandra Guzman as coaches for the first season of the reality show, which is currently in the auditions phase.

La Voz will visit three more cities: Chicago (July 14), San Antonio (July 21) and Miami (July 28).

CNCO Launches CNCOGo to Encourage Its Fans to “Catch” the Band’s New Music

CNCO is embracing the Pokemon Go craze in a special way…

Inspired by the location-based augmented reality game, the Latin American pop boy band is sending its fans to the streets to catch some of CNCO’s new songs from its upcoming album Primera Cita.

The boy band, which was formed in December, 2015 after becoming the winning members of the first season of the La Banda singing competition series, invited their fans to play CNCOGo and locate hotspots in their hometown where they will be able to listen to some of their new tracks.

“Are you ready?” CNCO tweeted to their more than 100,000 followers.

From Puerto Rico to Mexico and Spain, fans started hunting for the new tracks on Tuesday.

The new song “Cometa” was unlocked by fans in Ecuador.

CNCO’s first album is set to drop Friday.
