Kamar de los Reyes has another life to live on television…

The 45-year-old Puerto Rican actor has signed on to appear on ABC Family’s hit drama Pretty Little Liars.

The former One Life to Live star, who portrayed Antonio Vega on the daytime soap, will guest-star as Dominic, a respected swimming coach who is famous for having sent athletes to the Olympics.

de los Reyes’ appearance is slated for August.

He has appeared in Valley of the Dolls, Blue Bloods, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and ER.

Pretty Little Liars airs at 8:00 pm Tuesdays on ABC Family.

Boneta Cast in the Thriller “The Dead Man”

The 22-year-old Mexican actor/singer has joined the cast of the thriller The Dead Men.

The film is the debut feature of Kirk Sullivan, who recently left his job as Joel Silver’s assistant to pursue his dream of being a director.

The Andrew Poston-scripted film centers on an American running from his past who is brought into a group of young underground radicals called The Dead Men, only to discover a centuries-old spiritual battle.

Boneta, who starred opposite Tom Cruise in Rock of Ages, had roles on Pretty Little Liars and 90210 before landing the plum starring role of the aspiring musician in the big-screen adaptation of the hit musical Rock of Ages.

He also  starred in MTV’s comedy series Underemployed.

Production on The Dead Men began this week.

Snooki to Host MTV’s Club NYE 2013

It looks like Nicole SnookiPolizzi will need a babysitter on New Year’s Eve…

The 25-year-old Chilean-American reality television star has signed on to host MTV’s Club NYE 2013, airing live from Times Square beginning at 11 pm ET on December 31.

Polizzi, who gave birth to her first child in August, will co-host the show with her Jersey Shore co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley and comedian Jeff Dye.

Performers will include Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Rita Ora and Conor Maynard. The Knocks will serve as house DJ.

Pretty Little LiarsTyler Blackburn and Keegan Allen and The Nikki & Sara Show‘s Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer will make appearances during the broadcast. Choreographer Binkie will also take part.

Walsh Cast as the Lead in “The Hunger Games” Spoof

It looks like Maiara Walsh is the latest tribute headed to the arena… Well, sort of!

The 24-year-old half-Brazilian actress has been cast as the female lead in a parody of Jennifer Lawrence’s blockbuster film The Hunger Games.

In the film entitled The Starving Games, Walsh will portray a character named Kantmiss Evershot, based on Lawrence’s character Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.

Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo behind Date Movie, Meet the Spartans and Vampires Suck, wrote the script and will direct the parody. Along with mocking Suzanne Collins book series, the film will also spoof The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes and the finale of the Harry Potter franchise.

Pretty Little Liars actor Brant Daugherty has already been cast as the parody version of Gale, played in The Hunger Games by Liam Hemsworth.

Shooting on The Starving Games begins this week in New Orleans.

Walsh, known more for her dramatic roles, co-stars as the devious Simone Sinclair on ABC Family’s Switched at Birth and has appeared on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, the CW‘s The Vampire Diaries and ABC’s Desperate Housewives.

Guzmán to Guest Star on “Person of Interest”

The Latina actress will guest star in an episode of CBSPerson of Interest next season, according to TVLine.

The actress—who most recently starred as Ezra’s ex-fiancée Jackie Molina on Pretty Little Liars—will play the beautiful, smart, spoiled and hard-partying daughter of a Brazilian diplomat.

Guzmán, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, has appeared on A Gifted Man, Gossip Girl, The Good Wife and CSI: Miami.

Person of Interest returns for its second season Thursday, September 27 at 9:00 pm ET.

 

Boneta to Receive CinemaCon’s Rising Star Award

There’s no denying that Diego Boneta’s star is on the rise in Hollywood…

The 21-year-old Mexican actor—who will be starring in the highly anticipated Rock of Ages this summer—will receive CinemaCon’s Rising Star of 2012 Award at the upcoming convention of theater owners in Las Vegas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Boneta, who rose to acclaim in Spanish-language television by playing Rocco in the hit Mexican telenovela Rebelde, has appeared on American shows like ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars and the CW’s 90210.

The talented actor-singer will play the lead role of aspiring rocker Drew Boley in Rock of Ages from Hairspray director Adam Shankman.

“How exciting to think that Diego Boneta’s first film role will see him share the screen with the likes of Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin,” CinemaCon general managing director Mitch Neuhauser said while announcing Boneta’s award, which will be presented at the final night gala dinner.

Boneta has also been cast in MTV‘s upcoming new series Underemployed.
