“It means that dreams certainly can be made into reality,” professed the New York native moments before receiving the triple platinum certification awarded by the Recoding Industry Association of America at a special ceremony in Miami. “That there are people who still buy an album and that there are people who still consume music. And I don’t think that’s something that happens every day.”

Prince Royce has become a rising superstar in Latin music since releasing his self-titled debut album in March 2010. Along with receiving a Latin Grammy nomination last year for best contemporary tropical album, “Prince Royce” earned three Premio Lo Nuestro awards, four Latin Billboard awards and four Premios Juventud.

Royce, who says he still gets very nervous when performing at ceremonies like this month’s Latin Grammy Awards, is working on upcoming music, including his second Spanish album and his first English album.
