Peso Pluma Reveals Track List for New Album “Éxodo,” Featuring All-Star Collaborators

Peso Pluma is bringing out the big guns…

The 24-year-old Mexican singer-songwriter has revealed the track list for his new album, Éxodo, a 24-song double album that features Cardi B, Anitta, Quavo, DJ Snake and other all-star collaborators.OK

Éxodo, the follow-up to Peso’ Plumas Grammy-winning debut album Génesis, is comprised of 16 songs in the same style as the música Mexicana that helped launch his career, and eight urbano (reggaeton, Latin trap etc.) songs.

Peso Pluma had a big look in in the lead-up to and after the release of his debut record, the third regional Mexican LP to hit the Top 10 (No. 3) of the Billboard 200.

The album’s release date of June 20 was revealed in a music video teaser for “La Durango” that stars Connor McGregor.

Peso Pluma recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and performed his new song “La Durango” with Eslabon Armado’s Pedro Tovar.

He’s also gearing up for a tour across North America with festival slots in New York, Chicago and Mexico.

Christian Nodal Announces Pa’l Cora Tour Across United States

Christian Nodal is preparing to trek across the United States.

The 25-year-old Mexican singer and songwriter, one of the most sought-after artists worldwide within the booming regional Mexican music scene, has announced his Pa’l Cora Tour 2024 in the U.S.

The mariacheño superstar will kick off his 25-date arena tour in Seattle on September 11, which will see him making stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Newark, Brooklyn, Miami and Atlanta. He’ll wrap up in Baltimore on November 10 at the CFG Bank Arena.

“I’m very excited that we will meet again very soon. I’m working very hard to make Pa’l Cora Tour even more surprising than the previous one,” Nodal said in a press release. “Get your Don Julio tequila ready so we can toast together. Wait for me, I’ll be there. I love you all.”

Recently, Nodal partnered with Tequila Don Julio for the launch of A Summer of Mexicana to “celebrate and spotlight inspiring Mexican creatives who live Por Amor,” read a press release.

Nodal has won six Latin Grammys, eight Latin Billboard Music Awards, and 11 Latin American Music Awards. His songs “Botella Tras Botella” with Gera MX and “La Intención” with Peso Pluma have reached the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 60 and 92, respectively, among other chart achievements.

Pre-sale of tickets for Pa’l Cora Tour begins on May 15, and the official on sale begins on the following day, May 16, at www.cmnevents.com.

Peso Pluma Signs with Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

The 24-year-old Mexican singer and musician has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in all areas.

Peso Pluma’s debut album, Génesis, won the “Best Música Mexicana Album” award at the 2024 Grammys and landed No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the highest-charting Mexican music album in the chart’s history.

The album has also garnered a variety of other awards this year, including four iHeartRadio Music Awards and two wins for “Best Album – Regional Mexican” and “Best Collaboration – Regional Mexican” at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards.

In the past year, Peso headed off on a sold-out global tour, became the first Mexican artist to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards and won the “Best New Act” category at the MTV Europe Music Awards last year.

In 2023, Peso’s hit single “Ella Baila Sola” broke records by securing the No. 10 spot on Billboard’s All-Genre Hot 100 list, amassing an impressive 1.2 billion streams.

He currently holds the title of the fifth most-streamed artist globally, boasting over 60 million monthly listeners on Spotify revealing his popularity beyond the Spanish-language market.

Following his performances at Coachella and for Sony Electronics, Peso is gearing up for his North American tour this summer and headlining major festivals such as the Governor’s Ball, Sueños and Baja Beach Fest.

Additionally, his second studio album, Éxodo, is set to release this spring.

Additional accolades include four 2024 Premio Lo Nuestro awards, including “New Artist Male” and “Música Mexicana – Album of the Year.” Further, there were eight triumphs at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, with Peso notably clinching titles like “Artist of the Year, New.” Additionally, he garnered five distinctions at the 2023 Premios Juventud, securing recognitions like “Next Generation Regional Mexican” and “Best Regional Mexican Album.”

Becky G to Co-Host This Year’s Latin American Music Awards

Becky G will be spending a lot of time on the Latin AMAs stage…

The 27-year-old Mexican American singer, songwriter, rapper and actress will serve as a co-host alongside Thalia, Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce at this year’s Latin American Music Awards.

Other artists set to take center stage during the awards ceremony — which is celebrating the theme We Speak Música — include Feid, Anitta, Manuel Medrano and Oscar Maydon. The first of the four (in addition to Peso Pluma) is the most nominated artist this year, leading with 12 nods.

Feid and Peso, who are up for the artist of the year and album of the year awards, are followed by top nominees Bad Bunny (11), Grupo Frontera (11), Karol G (9), Shakira (9), Eslabon Armado (8) and Fuerza Regida (8).

Meanwhile, three artists will receive a special recognition during the ceremony: Recognized for their notable musical careers, both Banda MS and Ricardo Montaner will be honored with the Latin AMA Legacy Award, and Yandel will be celebrated for his contributions to the Latin urban music scene with the Latin AMA Pioneer Award.

The 2024 Latin American Music Awards will air live at 7:00 pm ET on Thursday, April 25, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas via Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión and ViX.

Peso Pluma Releases Music Video for DJ Snake-Assisted Track “Teka”

Peso Pluma has slithered his way to a new collaboration…

After premiering the track at Coachella last weekend, the 24-year-old Mexican singer has officially released the new collaborative single, “Teka,” with DJ Snake.

Released via Interscope Records, the song blends the styles of both internationally-renowned artists to create a beat you’re bound to hear on a dance floor soon. Or, as Peso Pluma puts it, it’s “gonna rock the discotheque, theque, theque, theque, theque.”

If the massive crowd at the Sahara Tent for DJ Snake’s Coachella set was any indicator, the song is sure to be an upcoming summer staple.

An instant crowd-pleaser, the song has already amassed almost 300,000 plays on Spotify. Now, Peso Pluma and DJ Snake have released the official music video.

The video offers a whole new perspective on the tried-and-true musical “car test.” In the video, directed by Benjamin Mege, DJ Snake and Peso Pluma are listening to the track on the car stereo when they notice tiny people dancing within the vehicle’s speakers. A mini-dancefloor comes alive within its dashboard and everyone gets down, including grandma.

Sleek lighting and cinematography add depth to the video’s lighthearted narrative, with artistic angles complimenting the track. When DJ Snake and Peso Pluma are stopped and asked to take off their sunglasses, they, too, join the dance party within the car’s speaker.

Arcangel to Perform on This Year’s Latin American Music Awards Show

Arcangel is preparing to take to the Latin AMAs stage…

The 38-year-old Dominican American rapper and singer has been added to the performers list for the ninth annual Latin American Music Awards.

Arcangel appears on the roster of recently added performers that includes Jennifer Nettles, KY-Mani Marley, Mora, Noel Schajris, Sech, Silvestre Dangond and Wisin.

The gala will take place on April 25 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Actors Danny Pino and Michael Mando in addition to superstars Christian Chávez, Eslabon Armado, Joss Favela and Kali Uchis are all set to present awards.

DJ Steve Aoki and Victoria Justice will also make appearances.

This long list of talent joins previously announced performers: Peso Pluma, Farukko, Jay Wheeler, Justin Quiles, DJ Deorro, Yng Lvcas, Gabito Ballesteros, Marc Anthony, Carin León, Chino Pacas, Lenny Tavárez, Milo Beat, Nacho, Sergio George, Venesti and Zhamira Zambrano.

Anthony is set to premiere his new single “Ale Ale,” from his upcoming album Muevense, which is set to be released on April 26. He has won two Latin AMAs, and this year is nominated for best tropical artist and best tropical collaboration for “La Fórmula” with Maluma.

“I am really excited to have the opportunity of presenting the global premiere of my new song ‘Ale, Ale’ on live television at this year’s Latin American Music Awards, and on that same evening release my new studio album Muevense,” said Anthony in a statement. “The Latin AMAs stage has seen many of my firsts and I am ready to introduce this one to audiences everywhere.”

Mexican music’s big year will be well represented at the awards show this year with appearances by bubbling acts including León, Pacas, Ballesteros and Peso, who returns to the Latin AMA stage after making his TV debut there last year.

Peso, along with reggaeton star Feid, is the most nominated artist of the night with 12 recognitions, including nods in coveted categories like artist of the year, new artist of the year, song of the year, album of the year, and collaboration of the year, among others.

Behind Peso and Feid, Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera lead the nominations list with 11 each. Karol G and Shakira each tout nine nominations, and Eslabon Armado and Fuerza Regida have eight.

There are 27 categories, with a total of 76 nominees that span all musical genres including pop, urban, música Mexicana and tropical.

The awards show will be hosted by Latin pop phenom Thalia, along with presenter Alejandra Espinoza, and singer-songwriter and television personality Carlos Ponce.

The show will broadcast live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Bizarrap Teams Up with Natanael Cano to Release Two-Track “BZRP Music Session #59″

Bizarrap is back with new music featuring a Regional Mexican star…

The 25-year-old Argentine record producer, songwriter, DJ and hitmaker has partnered with Natanael Cano to release two singles.

The 23-year-old Mexican corridos tumbados pioneer and Bizarrap joined forces on “BZRP Music Session #59,” a two-song project officially released on Wednesday, April 3.

The new music is as explosive and raw as previous music sessions recorded by the likes of Residente, Arcángel and Young Miko.

According to a press release, “BZRP Music Session #59” was created following a “spontaneous” Miami meeting between the two artists in 2021, and is powered by Bizarrap’s innovative Argentine trap.

“Now that they know we’re on top, they think we haven’t struggled,” spits Cano in the first track, or chapter one, also being referred to as “Endiamantado.”

Chapter two, or the second song from this release titled “Entre las de 20,” fuses Cano’s corrido tumbado hybrid with synthesizers and Bizarrap’s signature style.

Kicking off with his prickly guitars, Cano sings about outgrowing a relationship; he’s on to bigger and better things. “There’s no trace of what you knew about me/ I told her we broke up, I don’t have time to spend. But I do have money to throw away.”

It’s not the first time Bizarrap teams up with a música mexicana artist.

Last summer, Bizarrap tapped Peso Pluma for “BZRP Music Sessions #55,” which peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart dated June 17.

Cano’s session with Bizarrap follows team-ups with Milo J, Rauw Alejandro and Shakira, the latter being Bizarrap’s most consequential session to date.

The dis track broke a handful of Guinness World Records and, when it dropped, held the title for most streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours (14.4 million streams) and most viewed Latin track on YouTube in 24 hours (63 million views). It also won song of the year at the Latin Grammys.

Peso Pluma Sweeps Regional Mexican Field at iHeartRadio Music Awards

The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards have been awarded, with the 24-year-old Mexican Grammy-winning singer sweeping all four awards in the Regional Mexican category.

In the field, Peso Pluma claimed the awards for Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Regional Mexican Best New Artist, Regional Mexican Album of the Year for Genésis and Regional Mexican Song of the Year for “Ella Baila Sola,” his collaboration with Eslabon Armado.

Karol G, meantime, registered two iHeartRadio Music Awards wins.

The 33-year-old Colombian superstar claimed Latin Pop / Urban Album of the Year for MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO and Latin Pop / Urban Artist of the Year.

Ice Spice claimed the award for Best New Artist (Hip-Hop); Selena Gomez won Best Collaboration for her Rema-collaboration “Calm Down;” Robert Trujillo and Metallica won Rock Album of the Year for 72 Seasons, Shakira won Latin Pop / Urban Song of the Year for Bizarrap-collab “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53;” and Young Miko was named Best New Artist (Latin Pop / Urban).

Univision has revealed the 2024 Latin American Music Awards nominees, with the 31-year-old Colombian singer tying Mexican star Peso Pluma with 12 nods each.

Feid and Peso Pluma, who are up for the coveted artist of the year and album of the year awards, are followed by top nominees Bad Bunny (11), Grupo Frontera (11), Karol G (9), Shakira (9), Eslabon Armado (8) and Fuerza Regida (8).

Co-hosted by Thalía, Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce, this year’s awards ceremony will celebrate the theme “We Speak Música” and will air live at 7:00 pm ET on Thursday, April 25 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas via Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavision and ViX.

The 2024 nominations are based on fan interactions across streaming, sales, radio airplay, touring and social media interaction data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period (Feb. 11, 2023 to Feb. 24, 2024), according to a press statement.

Karol G & Peso Pluma’s “Qlona” Rises to No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart

Karol G and Peso Pluma’s smash collaboration is back atop the charts…

Five months after the 33-year-old Colombian Grammy-winning singer and 24-year-old Mexican Grammy-winning singer’s “Qlona” concluded its fifth week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, the collaboration rises 2-1 to lead the Latin Airplay chart dated March 2.

“Qlona” lands at the summit with a 17% gain in audience impressions, to 9.54 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending February 22, according to Luminate.

It ousts Myke Towers’ “La Falda” from the top after one week in charge, dropping 1-2 with a 10% dip in impressions, to 9.5 million.

As “Qlona” reaches the summit in its 23rd week on the list, it wraps the longest journey to the top spot this decade, passing the 22-week trek that two Towers’ songs needed to their reign in 2020: “Bandido,” with Juhn, and “Bésame,” with Luis Fonsi. (The last song to take longer to reach No. 1 was Pedro Capo and Farruko’s “Calma,” which hit the top in its 24th week, on the April 13, 2019 chart.)

With “Qlona” on top, Karol logs the 17th No. 1 in her Latin Airplay career. The new champ arrives five months after her own “Mi Ex Tenía Razón” reigned for two weeks last October.

Peso Pluma, meanwhile, picks up his third, after “Ella Baila Sola,” with Eslabon Armado, ruled for one week last June.

Elsewhere, “Qlona” wins a first term at No. 1 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, marking a 16th win for Karol. It’s the second Latin rhythmic crown for Pluma, after the four-week champ “La Bebe,” with Yng Lvcas, in 2023.

Thanks to its radio haul, “Qlona” rebounds 5-4 on the multimetric Hot Latin Songs chart — which blends airplay, streaming activity, and digital sales — after five weeks in charge.
