The 33-year-old Chilean American television personality will return as a full-fledged cast member for Season 5 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which has been renewed by MTV. Snooki only recurred in Season 4.

News of a renewal came as Jersey Shore Family Vacation wrapped up its fourth season tonight.

Per MTV, Jersey Shore Family Vacation claimed the No. 1 spot across key demos in its time period and earned a 9% L+3 share from the previous season.

Season 4 saw the roommates take over an entire resort and live in their very own COVID-19 bubble. The housemates for season four were Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Angelina Pivarnick, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

In the Season 4 finale, Snooki had to clean up the mess made by Dren as the trip comes to an end. Meanwhile, Mike plans a second gender reveal even though everyone knows he’s having a boy. But, the real surprise is what happens when Angelina “accidentally” shoots off a gender reveal powder cannon in her husband’s face.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation is produced by SallyAnn Salsano and Frank Miccolis for 495 Productions. Jacquelyn French serves as executive producer for MTV.

MTV has ordered a third season of its hit reality series Jersey Shore Family Vacation, starring the 31-year-old Chilean American reality television personality.

The renewal comes on the heels of MTV logging a fifth consecutive quarter of primetime growth in persons 18-34 and 18-49, its best streak in seven years.

Ranking as one of the top unscripted series on cable among adults 18-49, Jersey Shore Family Vacation features original housemates Deena Nicole CortesePaul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Snooki and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

It hails from from the original series’ creator/executive producer SallyAnn Salsano, who executive produces Jersey Shore Family Vacation through her 495 Productions.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation will premiere in 2019.

MTV is bringing back its hit series, Jersey Shore, for a new installment, featuring the 30-year-old Chilean reality television personality and most of the original cast.

The new series, entitled Jersey Shore Family Vacation, will premiere in 2018.

The project was teased throughout the day on social media and announced during the MTV series premiere of the Jersey Shore follow up series, Floribama Shore, which has a different cast.

In addition to Snooki, Jersey Shore Family Vacation will also star Jersey Shore original housemates Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

Both Jersey Shore Vacation and Floribama Shore hail from Jersey Shore creator/executive producer SallyAnn Salsano and her 495 Productions, which is owned by FremantleMedia, via her overall deal with Viacom.

Jersey Shore Vacation is part of the strategy of the new MTV regime to revive some of the network’s popular unscripted franchises. In addition to Jersey Shore, recent reboots include My Super Sweet 16, which originally aired from 2005-2008, TRL, which ran from 1998-2008, and Unplugged, which first premiered in 1989.

The Shore franchise has extensions around the globe including Geordie Shore in the UK, Gandia Shore in Spain, Warsaw Shore in Poland and Acapulco Shore in Mexico.

Dev to Co-Host Thsi Weekend’s mtvU Woodie Awards

This weekend, Dev will be sharing the stage with Jersey Shore’s Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio.

The 22-year-old Portuguese & Mexican American “In The Dark” singer/songwriter—who recently released the music video for her latest single “Kiss My Lips—and DelVecchio will co-host the 8th Annual mtvU Woodie Awards, according to the network.

The half-hour special will feature performances by Santigold, Mac Miller, Steve Aoki and some surprise guests.

“It’s pretty much live, so you can’t slip up and you can’t curse,” DelVecchio told Us Weekly before taping the special during the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. “It’s pretty cool because I’m actually doing two roles — I’m deejaying and hosting.”

“The Woodies are cool because it’s all about music and I love music. It doesn’t have to do with album sales or most popular people. It has to do with the performances and the music,” he adds. “Some of the greatest people started there. Wiz Khalifa started at the Woodies. Kings of Leon started at the Woodies.”

Vanessa Hudgens, The Vampire DiariesKat Graham, Mike Posner, B.o.B., Mac Miller, Cobra Starship, Chiddy Bang, J. Cole and MGK will also dish on their favorite up-and-coming bands during the Woodies.

The 8th Annual mtvU Woodie Awards will air Sunday, March 18 at 8:00 pm EST on MTV and mtvU.
