Solis Cast in CBS’ Drama Pilot “Baby Big Shot”

He’s already preparing to star in CBS’ midseason police drama NYC 22But Felix Solis has a back-up plan should the show be short-lived.

The 40-year-old Latino actor has been cast in CBS’ drama pilot Baby Big Shot, a legal drama centered on Martina (Janet Montgomery), a working-class woman who uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a top New York law firm.

Solis will play River, a former LAPD detective-turned-law firm investigator.

Solis was cast as a guest star in the pilot because he is a regular on CBS’ upcoming NYC 22, but has a backup deal to continue on Baby Big Shot should NYC 22 not get renewed.

He’s played a police detective on CBSThe Good Wife… But Felix Solis will soon be getting a promotion to sergeant on another CBS series.

The 40-year-old actor will star in CBS’ midseason police drama NYC 22, which centers around six NYPD rookie cops who patrol the gritty streets of Upper Manhattan.

Solis—who currently appears on the big screen in Man on a Ledge with rising Latina star Genesis Rodriguez—will play Sergeant Terry Howard on the show, which is being executive produced by Robert De Niro.

NYC 22, which also stars Dominican-American actress Judy Marte, will premiere on Sunday, April 15 at 10:00 pm ET.

The show will replace CSI: Miami, which was trimmed to 19 episodes this season to make room for the new show.
