Shakira is still going strong…

The 41-year-old Colombian superstar has extended her Top 10 record on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, as her song with Maluma, “Clandestino,” rises 11-7.

The track improves 17 percent in audience impressions to 10.2 million.

With “Clandestino,” Shakira pads her record as the female with the most top 10s since the chart began on November 12, 1994. Likewise, with her 30 top 10s, she extends her record as runner up for the second-most act overall, following only Enrique Iglesiaswith 39.

For Maluma, the boost earns him his 10th top 10.

Notably, this is Shakira’s first new top 10 in a little less than a year. Her song “Perro Fiel,” featuring Nicky Jam, previously spent 17 nonconsecutive weeks in the top 10 from November 25, 2017 through April 28, 2018, leading the tally for four straight weeks (December 23, 2017 – January 6, 2018).

Meanwhile, Maluma scores his fourth new top 10 of the year, and his previous three top 10s in 2018 all hit No. 1, too. He previously crowned the chart with “Corazón” with Nego do Borel(January 27, two weeks at No. 1), “El Préstamo” (June 2, two weeks at No. 1), and as featured act on Prince Royce’s “El Clavo” (September 1, one week at No. 1).

Maluma is ready for questioning…

The 24-year-old Colombian singer has been confirmed as a Star Q&A participant at the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Week, which will officially move to Las Vegas this year.

Maluma

Considered the Latin music world’s biggest gathering of dealmakers, power players and artists, this year’s event will take place at The Venetian in Las Vegas, April 23-26.

The schedule will culminate with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, the longest-running Latin music award show, airing live on Telemundo April 26.

Maluma, a global powerhouse and 10-time finalist for this year’s awards, will be one of the conference’s superstars in attendance, sitting down for an exclusive Star Q&A where he will discuss his exploding international career, his upcoming arena tour and his collaboration with a plethora of artists, from Shakira to Brazilian singer Nego do Borel, with whom he features on his current No. 1 hit “Corazón.”

“It’s an honor to be taking part in this year’s Star Q&A at the most important conference for the Latin music industry,” said Maluma, who kicks off his U.S. arena tour in March.

“Many amazing things happened in the past year and I can’t wait to share with everyone during Latin Music Week.”

In 2017, more than 1,000 attendees witnessed legendary discussions with panelists, J Balvin, Farruko and Nicky Jam among others.

Now in its 29th year, the event, completely committed to the Latin music industry, will feature Q&A sessions and panels including “Superstar Q&As” and marquee sessions like the “Divas Panel” and “How I Wrote that Song,” with top artists, labels, radio, marketing, brand and music executives.

At 24 years old, Maluma is one of Latin music’s biggest acts, boasting 31.2 million Instagram followers and over 13.6 million YouTube/Vevo subscribers. Maluma notched seven top ten hits on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and currently boasts the No. 1 song on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, “Corazón.” He was also the No. 1 most-viewed artist on Instagram Stories in 2017.

Adidas Releases New Video Featuring Brasil to Promote the 2016 Summer Olympics

João Brasil is helping Adidas spread the Olympic spirit…

Foreshadowing a new wave of Brazilian soccer mania coinciding with the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Adidas has released a video celebrating Rio as the “football capital” that also spotlights a new official ball.

João Brasil

The mostly black-and-white spot uses a baile funk track, “Errejota no Comando” by Brasil, featuring popular Brazilian MC and actor Nego do Borel.

Brasil is best known for his 2011 single “L.O.V.E. Banana,” which Madonna was later accused of copying for “Give Me All Your Luvin.”

The 23-year-old Rio native Do Borel is a representative of the “ostentatious funk” style. The often campy rapper recently began appearing in the Brazilian soap opera Malhação, for which he wrote and recorded the theme song.

The Adidas video unveils a new soccer ball, the Errejota (errejota is the phonetic spelling in Portuguese of RJ, short for Rio de Janeiro).

Last week, international soccer organization FIFA announced that the men’s and women’s 2016 Olympic soccer finals will be played at Rio’s Maracanã Stadium.

The Errejota is the official FIFA ball for 2016.
