Marisol Nichols

Set in present time, Riverdale is a subversive take on Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small-town life — the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade.

Nichols will play Hermione Lodge, Veronica’s upscale mother. Hermione has now returned to Riverdale, eager to start fresh with her daughter following the scandalous incarceration of her husband.

In the pilot, from Warner Bros. Television, Nichols also joins Ashleigh Murray (Josie), Cole Sprouse (Jughead Jones), Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom) and Luke Perry (Archie’s dad Fred Andrews).

Nichols recurs as Desert Wolf on Teen Wolf, recurred on Criminal Minds and NCIS, and starred on ABC’s Good Christian Belles.

Cote de Pablo’s next project is bringing her home

The 34-year-old Chilean actress, who shocked fans last summer when she announced she was leaving her popular role on CBSNCIS, has landed her first acting role since leaving the show.

Cote de Pablo

de Pablo has been cast in The 33, a feature film based on the 2010 rescue of 33 Chilean miners who were trapped 69 days in the Copiapo gold and copper mine more than half an mile below the earth’s surface.

Antonio Banderas, Juliette Binoche and Rodrigo Santoro are among those already signed on to star in the film, which is now in production in Chile and Colombia with Patricia Riggen directing a script by Craig Borten (Dallas Buyers Club) and Michael Thomas.

Jennifer Lopez was originally signed on to star in The 33, but backed out of the film.

de Pablo, who was born in Chile and whose mother still lives there, will play a wife of one of the trapped miners, who became international stars following their dramatic rescue that played out live worldwide.

Her scenes will be shot in Chile’s Atacama Desert near where the actual event, and the subsequent rescue efforts took place.

Gonzalez Starring in the USA Network’s Drama Pilot “Rush”

Rick Gonzalez is about the feel The Rush

The 34-year-old Dominican and Puerto Rican actor has been cast in USA Network’s drama pilot Rush.

Rick Gonzalez

Written and directed by Jonathan Levine, the project is in the vein of USA’s Royal Pains, as it follows an on-call doctor.

It centers on Dr. William Rush (portrayed by Tony Ellis) who is not your average on-call doctor — he’s not attached to any hospital, he’s highly discreet no matter what the ailment as long as the client can pay his cash-only premium and the doctor can party with the best of them.

The Coach Carter star will portray Manny Maquis, a well-connected dealer, who considers Rush a friend, as well as a client.

Gonzalez’s most recent credits include co-starring in Lady Gaga’s “Judas” music video, a guest-starring role on NCIS and a starring role on the CW series Reaper.

de Pablo Ending Her Eight-Year Stint on CBS’ “NCIS”

Cote de Pablo is saying bye-bye-bye to her beloved NCIS character…

CBS has confirmed that the 33-year-old Chilean actress will not be returning for the eleventh season of the network’s hit drama NCIS this fall.

Cote de Pablo

The network says de Pablo won’t be leaving cold turkey though. She’s still expected to appear long enough for her character Ziva David to wrap up her storyline.

CBS and producer CBS Television Studios said in a joint statement that the decision was de Pablo’s to end her longtime run on the show.

“We respect Cote’s decision, thank her for being an important part of the NCIS team, and for eight terrific years playing Ziva David”, the statement says. “Cote and CBS share a great respect for the NCIS audience, and we look forward to working with her and the producers on appropriate closure in this chapter of Ziva’s story.”

de Pablo was the only cast member without a deal, after it expired at the end of last season.

“I’ve had 8 great years with NCIS and Ziva David,” said de Pablo in a statement. “I have huge respect and affection for Mark, Gary, Michael, David, Rocky, Pauley, Brian, Sean, all of the team and CBS. I look forward to finishing Ziva’s story.”

Season 11 is set to premiere September 24.
