Ciara Bravo to Star in Justin Lin’s Next Film “Last Days”

Ciara Bravo is bracing for her last days

The 27-year-old part-Latina actress will star in Justin Lin’s next film Last Days.

Ciara Bravo,Bravo is among a roster of five new cast additions that includes Toby Wallace, Claire PriceDieudonné Ngabo and Marny Kennedy.

They join previously announced cast members Sky Yang, Radhika Apte, Naveen Andrews and Ken Leung.

Based on the Outside Magazine article “The Last Days of John Allen Chau” by journalist Alex Perry, the film tells the story of John Allen Chau, who believes he has been chosen to save the souls of the uncontacted tribe of North Sentinel Island. Designated as a protected site by the Indian government, John sets on a harrowing journey to proselytize the Sentinelese in his desperate search for identity, purpose, and belonging.

Written by Ben Ripley (Source Code), and marking a return to his indie roots for Lin following work on the Fast & Furious franchise, the film has just kicked off production in Thailand.

In addition to directing, Lin is producing through his Perfect Storm Entertainment, overseen by Salvador Gatdula and Andrew Schneider.

Bravo’s previous credits include Cherry, Big Time Rush and Red Band Society.

Fox Renews Adan Canto’s “The Cleaning Lady” for Third Season

Fox has renewed its popular series The Cleaning Lady, starring the 41-year-old Mexican actor, for a third season, the network’s first live-action scripted renewal for the 2023-24 season.

Adan CantoAdditionally, Jeannine Renshaw has joined the show as an executive producer and will serve as showrunner with Miranda Kwok.

“After two heart-pounding seasons, we’re thrilled with how audiences have latched on to this incredible story,” said Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming, Fox Entertainment. “The cast, led by the incomparable Élodie Yung, along with our brilliant creative team and our partners at Warner Bros. Television have expertly crafted a highly compelling, emotionally-driven show that gives a perspective you don’t often see on television.”

Season 2 of The Cleaning Lady averaged 5.4 million total multiplatform viewers, more than doubling its Live + Same Day delivery by +152%.

Based on the original Argentine series, The Cleaning Lady stars Élodie Yung as Thony, a doctor who comes to the U.S. for a medical treatment to save her ailing son. But when the system fails, she becomes a cleaning lady for the mob and starts playing the game by her own rules.

The series was developed by executive producer Kwok and executive-produced by showrunner Melissa Carter, and executive producers Shay Mitchell, David Dean Portelli, Rose Marie Vega and Paola Suarez. It was produced in partnership between Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.

In the Season 2 finale, Thony (Yung) was confronted by FBI Agent Garrett Miller (Oliver Hudson) about Arman’s (Canto) part in Maya’s (Chelsea Frei) death, while Nadia (Eva De Dominici) tries to stay on Robert Kamdar’s (Naveen Andrews) good side. Despite being warned to stay clear of Kamdar, Thony decides to take matters into her own hands to protect Fiona (Martha Millan) and ensure the safety of her family.

The series also stars Sean Lew as Chris, Faith Bryant as Jaz and Sebastien & Valentino LeSalle as Luca.

Netflix Releases Trailer for Season 2 of Silvestre’s Sci-Fi Drama “Sense8”

The official trailer has been released for for Season 2 of Sense8, Netflix’s sci-fi drama series starring the 35-year-old Spanish actor.

“Rembrandt. His name is synonymous with masterpiece, and this is arguably one of his greatest paintings. An iconic work of individuals setting aside their differences for a common good. But what we see is not what people saw hundreds of years ago. How we see changes, because our senses are evolving,” begins the trailer for the series from Lana Wachowski, Grant Hill and J. Michael Straczynski.

Sense8 revolves around eight characters from different parts of the world, who experience a violent vision and soon find themselves mentally connected by the experience. They become connected, able to see and talk to one another as though they were in the same place, with access to each other’s deepest secrets. Not only must the eight adapt to this new ability and to one another, they must figure out why their lives are now in jeopardy.

In Season 2, dark forces continue to track the cluster of eight connected characters. The sensates will learn more about BPO, the secret organization searching for their cluster and others like them, and will work to protect themselves from this group that is out to hunt and kill them.

The new key art for Season 2 with the tagline “Survive Together” reflects their connection and bond with one another.

In addition to Silvestre, the cast also includes Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith, Terrence Mann, Naveen Andrews and Daryl Hannah.

Season 2 of Sense8 begins streaming on Netflix on May 5.
