Becky G is evolving as an artist… And, now she’ll have the hardware to prove it.
The 22-year-old bilingual Mexican American singer/rapper will be honored with the Extraordinary Evolution award during the fifth edition of the Latin American Music Awards, Telemundo has announced.
Becky G will also perform at the 2019 edition of the show.
The Extraordinary Evolution award recognizes the success of a young performer who has demonstrated change and accelerated growth as an artist to reach the pinnacle of success in a short period of time. Last year, Colombian singer Maluma was the first recipient.
Becky G’s achievements include two No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s Latin Airplay chart (“Mayores” and “Sin Pijama”), a starring role in the movie Power Rangers, and many collaborations with superstars including Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Anitta, Natti Natasha, Bad Bunny and CNCO.
Last year, Becky won two Latin AMAs (favorite female artist and favorite urban song for “Mayores”) and received YouTube’s Diamond Play Buttonfor surpassing 10 million followers on the digital platform.
The Latin American Music Awards will take place on October 17 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California. Tickets for the show are available here.

E! has revealed the roster of nominees for this year’s E! People’s Choice Awards, with the 22-year-old Cuban/Mexican singer earning three nods, tying her with Cardi B for the most nominations by a Latino/a artist.
Cabello, who’d previously earned three PCA nominations last year, is up for Female Artist of 2019. She’s also nominated for Song of 2019 and Music Video of 2019 for her chart-topping collaboration with Shawn Mendes, “Señorita.”
Cardi B, a three-time nominee last year, will face-off against Cabello in the Female Artist of 2019 category.
The 26-year-old half-Dominican American rap superstar is also in the running for Social Celebrity of 2019 and Style Star of 2019.
Bad Bunnyis a first-time nominee…
The 25-year-old Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer earned a nod in the cross-genre category of Male Artist of 2019. He’s also up for Latin Artist of 2019.
Jennifer Lopez, a two-time People’s Choice Awards winner, has earned two nods this year.
The 50-year-old Puerto Rican superstar will face-off against her “Dinero” collaborator, Cardi B, in the Style Star of 2019 category. And she’s also up for Concert Tour of 2019 for her hit It’s My Party tour.
Daddy Yankee has earned the first two PCA nods of his career…
The 42-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton singer & rapper is nominated for Latin Artist of the 2019, while his collaboration with Snow, “Con Calma,” is up for Music Video of 2019.

Fan voting in 43 categories is underway and continues through Friday, October 18 at 11:59pm ET.
E! announced the voting commencement today. The broader nominations took place last month, and now voters can select from the lists of eight finalist nominees in categories covering movies, TV, music, podcasts, social media and assorted other genres.
Fans can vote online at pca.eonline.com, via Twitter or for select categories on Xfinity X1. Fans can vote up to 25 times per method, per category, per day if they vote via online or Twitter. Voting via Xfinity X1 has a limit of 25 times per ballot, per Xfinity X1 device, per candidate for the duration of the official voting window. Additionally, any vote cast on Tuesdays throughout the voting window will count twice.
The E! People’s Choice Awards will be broadcast live from Barker Hanger in Santa Monica on Sunday, November 10 at 9p ET/PT, with E! Live From The Red Carpet: The E! People’s Choice Awards 2019 kicking off at 7p ET/PT.

The 38-year-old Cuban American rap superstar has officially released the music video for “No La Trates,” his dancetastic collaboration with Natti Natasha and Daddy Yankee.
In the catchy single, Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, and Natti Natasha put their own twist on El General’s timeless ‘90s jam “Rica y Apretadita.”
“No Lo Trates” is a song about two men trying to conquer the same girl. The girl, on the other hand, makes it very clear that she’s an independent woman who knows her self-worth and is not easy to please.
The video clip, directed by Andrew Sandler, shows the three artists having a great time in a vintage-inspired club with several beautiful dancers and a live band.
“The hottest music video with the hottest (artists) is already out,” Natti Natasha expressed on Instagram.
Good Morning Americaannounced the lineup for its annual Summer Concert Series, with the38-year-oldCuban American rap superstar set to participate.
Pitbull, who recently launched his latest single “No Lo Trates” with Natti Natashaand Daddy Yankee, will appear on the ABC morning show on August 2.
In addition to Pitbull, the A-list roster includes K-popsuperstars BTS, who will get the party started on May 15, warming up the Rumsey Playfieldstage in New York’s Central Park, which will host a free show every Friday during GMA’s 7-9 a.m. broadcast.
The rest of the summer will be filled by a roster of pop, rock, country, Latin and hip-hop stars, including Hozier, Ciara, Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Chance the Rapper, Kane Brown, Keith Urbanand many more.

It’s a follow-up to her previously released English-language track “LBD,” which she released in January.
The new single features a smooth R&B-meets-sensual trap vibe, and it name drops a famous brand.

The late Mexican American singer, known as la Reina de la Musica Tejana, will be honored by Forever 21 with her own clothing line on the 22nd anniversary of the Selenabiopic movie starring Jennifer Lopez.

The 32-yar-old Dominican singer and songwriter’sdebut album ilumiNATTI has launched at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart dated March 2, scoring the largest week for a Latin album by a solo woman in more than a year and a half.
The 17-song set was released February 15 via Pina Records/Sony Music Latinand opens with 7,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending February 21, according to Nielsen Music.
Of that sum, a little over 3,000 were in album sales, while most of the remaining units were generated by streaming activity (equaling 3.9 million on-demand audio streams for the album’s songs during the week).
ilumiNATTIis Natti’s first studio effort and first entry on the tally.
The last album by a woman to post a larger week, in terms of units, was Shakira’s El Dorado, which tallied a little more than 7,000 units at No. 1 on the July 15, 2017-dated list (the set’s fifth week on the chart). One week later, a pair of women teamed up for a larger frame, when Gloria Treviand Alejandra Guzman’s Versusbowed at No. 1 with 8,000 units.
ilumiNATTI’s sales start of 3,000, lands the album a No. 1 bow on the Latin Album Saleschart.
Beyond its Top Latin Albums top 10 start, ilumiNATTIalso bows at No. 3 on the Latin Rhythm Albumschart.
Two songs from the album are generating chart action: “Me Gusta” ascends 30-26 with the Digital Greatest Gainerhonors on the Hot Latin Songschart, which blends airplay, digital sales and streaming data, while “La Mejor Versión de Mi” debuts at No. 41 on the current tracking week.
The 25-year-old Brazilian singer, a four-time nominee in 2019, is set to perform at this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro awards show.
The “Veneno” singer and New Artist of the Yearcontender joins a roster of new additions that includes JBalvin, Yandel, Juanes, Maná, Pepe Aguilar, Joss Favela, Nacho, and Zion y Lennox.
Anitta previously took the stage alongside J Balvin at least year’s how, giving a sizzling performance of their hit collaboration “Downtown.”

The 47-year-old Mexican singer’s latest album Valiente debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart.
Thalia’s 14th studio album, Valiente, released via Sony Music Latin on November 9, starts with a little over 2,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending November 15. Of that sum, 2,000 were in traditional album sales, while the remaining can be attributed to streaming equivalent album units and track equivalent album units.
Valiente is Thalia’s seventh chart leader and her first in more than two years. She’s now tied with Shakira for the most No. 1s on the Latin Pop Albums chart among women.
Thalia last reigned atop the tally withLatina(May 28, 2016), which led for two consecutive weeks.
The set has yielded one charting title on the Hot Latin Songs tally, which blends airplay, digital sales, and streaming activity: “No Me Acuerdo” with Natti Natasha ranked in the top 20 for ten weeks (No. 14 peak, September 22).
Concurrently, Valiente debuts at No. 7 on the Top Latin Albums and No. 1 on the Latin Album Sales charts.
