Monica Huarte’s latest project is expanding…
Rob Schneider’s family adventure-comedy Daddy Daughter Trip, co-starring the 41-year-old Mexican actress, has been picked up by Cinemark following a successful opening with Harkins Theatres.
The film, which Schneider produced, directed and stars in, will now be shown in 45 Cinemark locations, having premiered in an exclusive roll-out at fifteen Harkins Theatres locations on September 30.
The film also expanded to additional Harkins Theatres this weekend.
The live-action/animation hybrid tells the story of a 2nd grader (Miranda Scarlett Schneider) who dreams of a fun-filled spring break vacation her family can’t afford. Against the better judgment of her mom (Jackie Sandler) and with only coins in their pockets, her dreamer father (Schneider) decides to take her on a spring break trip anyway. After a series of misfortunate adventures, their vacation is saved when the duo meet a couple of famous travel bloggers (Huarte and Miguel Ángel Muñoz).
John Cleese, Elle King and Gavin Guerrero also star in the film written by Jamie Lissow & Patricia Schneider.
Rob Schneider produced alongside Patricia Schneider, David Tanner and Angie M. Cruz from Mandalini Pictures, with Dusty Desert Trailer’s Todd Graves executive producing, and Joss Monzon and Francisco Herrera creating the animation.
Huarte’s previous credits include Enfermo Amor, 40 y 20 and The Vineyard.
