Angel Bismark Curiel to Star in Next Installment of Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” for FX

Angel Bismark Curiel is bringing the horror this Halloween season…

The 28-year-old Latino actor, who rose to acclaim on FX’s Pose, will star in the latest installment of FX’s American Horror Story just in time for Halloween.

All five episodes of the Huluween event will be released on Tuesday, October 15 on Hulu (and via Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers).

The series will also premiere October 15 on Disney+ in Canada and will be coming to Disney+ internationally. Check local listings for dates.

American Horror Stories is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’American Horror Story. American Horror Stories, now in its third installment, is an anthology series that will feature a different horror story each episode.

The five new spooky tales features a cast that includes Michael Imperioli, Henry Winkler, Dyllón BurnsideDebby Ryan, Jeff Hiller, Jessica Barden, Curiel, Guy BurnetVictor Garber, June Squibb, among others.

Since 2011, the creators of AHS have redefined the horror genre with various installments featuring a creepy asylum, a coven of witches, a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel and the apocalypse itself.

The television series sprouted a legion of dedicated fans who anticipate what terrors the next chapter will hold.

The series is executive produced by Murphy, Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, Max Winkler, Manny Coto and Jon Robin Baitz. The franchise is produced by 20th Television.

Froy Gutierrez to Star in Freeform’s Thriller Pilot “Last Summer”

The 21-year-old Latino actor has been cast in Freeform’s Last Summer, a thriller pilot from  Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple.

Gutierrez will appear as a series regular in the project, alongside Michael Landes, Brooklyn SudanoHarley Quinn SmithChiara AureliaMika AbdallaAllius BarnesBlake Lee and Nathaniel Ashton.

Royaland directed by Max WinklerLast Summer is an unconventional thriller that takes place over three summers — 1993-95 — in a small Texas town when a beautiful popular teen, Kate (Abdalla), is abducted and, seemingly unrelated, a girl, Jeanette (Aurelia), goes from being a sweet, awkward outlier to the most popular girl in town and, by ’95, the most despised person in America. Each episode is told from the POV of one of the two main girls (Jeanette and Kate), which will have the viewers’ loyalties constantly shifting as more information is revealed.

Gutierrez has been cast as Jamie, the kind of guy everyone loves. He starts as Jeannette’s secret crush, who ends up as her boyfriend the following year. 

The pilot comes from eOneand will be executive produced by Royal and Winkler alongside Iron Ocean Productions’ Biel and Purple.

Nunez to Appear in ABC’s Comedy Pilot “The Winklers”

The Latino actor/comedian has been in cast in ABC’s comedy pilot The Winklers.

From Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal; Henry Winkler’s son, director Max Winkler; and son-in-law, actor Rob Reinis, The Winklers centers on Jack (portrayed by Domenick Lombardozzi), an emotionally reserved construction worker who learns about love, life and hugs while unexpectedly living with his in-laws — successful actor Henry (portrayed by Henry Winkler) and Tita Winkler (Judith Light), the fabulous, fierce momma bear of the family.

The comedy pilot is based on Henry Winkler’s relationship with his son-in-law, Reinis.

Nunez will portray Paco, a construction worker on Jack’s crew whose secret passion is dance.

Nunez is best known for his recurring role as Manche Sanchez on the show Prison Break.

His film credits include The 40-Year-Old Virgin, The Pursuit of Happyness and Bridesmaids.
