Gloria Trevi is a woman on top…
The 47-year-old Mexican pop-rock singer-songwriter’s latest album, El Amor, debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.
Trevi’s eighth charted album arrives with 3,000 copies sold in the week ending Aug. 27, according to Nielsen Music.
It’s Trevi’s second album to top the chart.
She first crowned the chart in 2011, when Gloria entered at No. 1 (8,000 sold).
She has reached the top 10 five times since first landing on list in 1994 (Mas Turbada Que Nunca, No. 43 peak).
Meanwhile, Trevi’s latest single “Como Yo te Amo” reaches a new peak on Billboard‘s Latin Pop Airplay chart, jumping 25-20 in its ninth charting week.
