The 40-year-old Puerto Rican rapper and reggaetonero, considered one of the founding fathers of reggaeton, has recently released the music video for his latest single “Oye,” one of the tracks from his current album Colaboraciones de ayer y hoy.
Directed by Santiago Ruiz and Mariano Dawidson, the clip was shot in several parts of Puerto Rico, including a hotel in Old San Juan and the Pal Cielo nightclub on Loiza Street in the Santurce area, where the New York-born Vico C grew up and has spent a great part of his life.
Vico C’s daughters, Marangely and Enni, served as the choreographers for the “Oye” video, while rapper Funky collaborated with Vico C on the track.
Colaboraciones de ayer y hoy, which features Vico C’s hits from the past decade, includes songs he performed with La Mala Rodriguez, Jarabe de Palo and Alejandra Guzman.
