The 22-year-old Mexican bilingual singer/rapper has released her latest English-language single “Green Light Go.”

It’s a follow-up to her previously released English-language track “LBD,” which she released in January.

The new single features a smooth R&B-meets-sensual trap vibe, and it name drops a famous brand.

“If I ever fall, I’m landing on my Gucci soles,” sings Becky G.

Before releasing “LBD,” her return to English music, Becky G embraced her Latin roots, releasing several Spanish-language hits including the smash “Sin Pijama” with Natti Natasha, “Mayores,” and the remix of “Mala Mía” byMaluma, alongsideAnitta.

Both Becky G and the 25-year-old Colombian urban singer have teased fans on Instagram with new photos of what hints at a new collaboration and music video.

Maluma shared a photo of him and Becky G about to pop a kiss, captioning the pic with “the answer to my question is no?” 

Meanwhile, Becky G shared another image of her holding up her hand and pushing a confused-looking Maluma away, captioning her image with “I said, no!!!”

In December 2018, Maluma teamed up with Becky G and Anittato drop the women empowering remix of “Mala Mia.”

The 24-year-old Colombian urban singer has released a “Mala Mia” remix featuring Anitta and Becky G.

The “Mala Mía” remix follows the same controversial tone of the original version, but this time Anitta and Becky G add a female rebellion vibe with lyrics that mostly talk about sex, demanding equality and defending the free way of living life. 

The new version is complemented by the catchy original chorus, “This is my life, it’s only mine, you don’t live it/ If it bothers you, forget me.”

“Mala Mía” was written by Maluma, Edgar BarreraStiven Rojas, Becky G, Anitta, Johany Alejandro Correa, and the Rude Boyz (Kevin Jiménez and Bryan Lezcano) and produced by Johany Alejandro Correa and The Rude Boyz.

The cover of the single was drawn by Romeo, Maluma’s 10 year-old nephew and the lyric video was inspired by his designs; It was produced, drawn and animated by Sara Escobar.

The 24-year-old Colombian singer has been added to the performer lineup for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.

After releasing a steamy music video for his latest single “Mala Mia,” Maluma announced that he’ll be performing at 2018 VMAs on Monday, August 20 with an excited post on social media saying “dreams come true.”

This is the first time that Maluma will sing at the awards show.

The list of Latin acts that have previously performed at VMAs include Shakira, Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee.

The VMAs will air live from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall at 9:00 pm ET on August 20.
