The special finds the world faced with a holiday cheer crisis, which the North Pole knows only one person can solve: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey. Combining musical performances, dancing and animation, the show finds Carey saving the day.

The soundtrack single and new music video for “Oh Santa!,” co-written by and featuring Carey performing with Grande and Hudson, will be distributed by Sony Music and released on Apple Music and other streaming platforms December 4.

Carey is the bestselling female artist of all time, with more than 200 million albums sold to date and 19 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles (18 self-penned), more than any solo artist in history. She recently published her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, which debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller list.

MAC Cosmetics to Release Brand New Selena-Inspired Collection

Selena’s legendary style lives on… And, you can own a part of it.

MAC Cosmetics has announced that a brand new makeup collection inspired by La Reina de la Musica Tejana will be released in April, honoring Selena’s 25 year legacy.

Selena

“Selena and M·A·C Cosmetics are back together! Get ready for an all NEW collection launching in April to celebrate the Queen of Tejano’s life and legacy! Stay tuned for this iconic collection,” expressed a post on Selena’s official Facebook account.

This is the second time the brand is honoring the late Mexican-American singer through beauty products.

In 2016, fans were blessed with a makeup collection that embodied Selena’s style, including her signature red lipstick and an eye shadow palette named after some of her emblematic songs, like “Como La Flor,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” and “No Me Queda Mas.”

The limited-edition collection released in 2016 was tenderly curated by Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla. “I wanted the colors to be about her personally, what she wore on and offstage,” Quintanilla said in a previous press statement.

The new MAC collaboration comes on the heels of a Selena tribute concert taking place on May 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Presented by Q ProductionsSelena XXV-Veinticinco Años counts with a star-studded lineup including Pitbull, Los Tucanes de TijuanaA.B. Quintanilla III Los Kumbia AllstarzBecky G, and Ally Brooke, and more.

The cosmetics line has announced plans to restock of the brand’s limited edition Selena Quintanilla collection, back by popular demand.

Selena Quintanilla

Originally requested via an online change.org petition from her fans back in February 2015, the 14 piece collection finally launched this past October with colors named after the legendary late Tejano singer’s biggest hits, including a deep, wine-red lipstick called “Dreaming of You“, a dusty-pinky beige eyeshadow named “Missing My Baby” — and, of course, MAC‘s signature Lipglass in a sheer pink with silverly flakes, named after Selena’s ubiquitous “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.”.

All products, except Liquid Eye Liner in Boot Black, will be available for purchase Wednesday, December 28 at 12:01am EST on maccosmetics.com, and in stores everywhere in the U.S and Canada on Thursday, December 29.

MAC to Premiere Its Selena World Line in Corpus Christi Next Month

It looks like Selena fans will be seeing (shades of) red next month…

The new MAC make-up line named for the late singer, known as La Reina de la Musica Tejana, will have its premiere at the American Bank Center in the singer’s home town of Corpus Christi, TX on September 30.

The MAC Selena World premiere, presented in partnership with Dillard’s department store, will be a day-long “product experience” where fans can buy the cosmetics before they are available in stores in October, as well as see the Quintanilla family perform with an as yet-unrevealed guest performer. DJs will part of the day’s entertainment, as well as make-up demonstrations.

Anticipating the big multi-generational crowds that can be expected to flock to the arena for the event, the cosmetics company has posted detailed instructions for attending – and lining up outside for world premiere, cautioning that “once the arena reaches capacity, doors will be closed to entry” to the free-admission event. View screens will be set up outside the arena, which has a maximum capacity of 10,000.

Doors open at 10 am, and the Quintanilla Family is set to perform at 8 p.m. The Selena

make-up will be available for purchase at the event until stock sells out.

Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla unveiled the full make-up collection in May via Persicope. It features lipsticks named for the beloved singer’s hits like “Dreaming of You” and “Amor Prohibido.”

Selena, who was only 23 when she died, was known for her bright red lips and a personal style that has influenced thousands of female fans.

Carey Partners with MAC Cosmetics for Holiday-Themed Lipstick

Mariah Carey is ringing in the holidays in a MACtacular way…

The 45-year-old half-Venezuelan American singer, the voice behind the insta-Christmas classic “All I Want for Christmas is You,” has partnered up with MAC Cosmetics to create a holiday-themed lipstick that will come in a sparkly champagne shade.

Additionally, Carey has announced plans to release a full Mariah x MAC Beauty Icon collection in 2016.

“Mariah is the over-the-top pop and beauty icon,” said MAC creative director James Gager. “Throughout the years we’ve all watched her with admiration and feel right now she is at her ultimate best. She exudes elegance, glamour, sophistication, and a sense of fun. Her ‘All I Want’ lipstick is the perfect frosty holiday shade and her Beauty Icon collection will be everything you think of when you think MAC and Mariah.”

MAC Cosmetics to Launch Selena-Inspired Collection

The late Selena Quintanilla’s music and style legacy lives on…

The late Mexican-American music superstar, known as La Reina de la Musica Tejana, is getting her own makeup line, MAC Cosmetics has confirmed via Facebook.

Selena Quintanilla

“Selena’s talent and beauty, inside and out have left a colorful, meaningful impact in the world that has continued to grow over the last two decades,” MAC senior vice president James Gager said in a statement. “We have heard the passion and enthusiasm from her fans and wholeheartedly agree that her legacy embodies MAC’s philosophy. We are so excited to announce a Selena inspired MAC collection debuting in the latter part of 2016.”

Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla hinted that Selena’s estate and MAC were “working on something big” at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards. At the time she didn’t offer many details, but on Thursday she said, in the same press release, “I am so excited that MAC Cosmetics will be releasing a collection in honor of my sister Selena. Helping to create this collection brings me back to all those late night conversations on our tour bus when she spoke of having her own makeup line one day. If Selena were here she would be beyond ecstatic to have this happening. History is being made.”

The company’s decision comes after a social media campaign by fans to bring the line to life, which included viral hashtags and a formal petition.

Earlier this year, a die-hard Selena fan named Patty Rodriguez started an online petition on change.org asking MAC for a line inspired by her idol, which drew thousands of supporters.

The line will debut in the second half of 2016.

Selena was shot to death in 1995 by the president of her fan club. This year, she would have been 44.
