Gomez, Billboard‘s 2017 Woman of the Year honoree, earns her second No. 1 and first as a lead act, after “I Want You to Know” (by Zedd featuring Gomez), which spent six weeks at No. 1 in March and April 2015. “Wolves” is Marshmello’s first leader on the list.

“Wolves” reigns with 13 million U.S. streams, 8 million in all-format radio audience and 28,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music.

It holds at No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart and soars 13-2 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart, behind Marshmello’s “Silence” (featuring Khalid) in the latter’s 10th week at the top.

Meanwhile, a toast to Marshmello, who celebrates his first top 40 Hot 100 hit. He previously hit a No. 42 high with “Silence,” which remains near its peak this week, at No. 50.

Gomez Participating in Coca-Cola’s Share a Coke and a Song Campaign

Selena Gomez is ready to share a Coke and a smile…

The 23-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress, a self-confessed Coca-Cola fan, has joined the company’s new Share a Coke and a Song campaign.

Selena Gomez

“When you have somebody call you and it’s something that you’re obsessed with and they want to put your work [on it]? … That is so crazy. I was stoked,” Gomez says. “So yeah, [it was a] no-brainer for me. And I can’t wait. My nana is freaking out. She already requested all of the bottles to put all over the house.”

Lyrics from two of Gomez’s songs — “Love You Like a Love Song” and “Me & the Rhythm” — will be featured on packages of Coca-Cola products nationwide throughout the summer. The two tracks are among the 70-plus tunes that are part of the campaign.

Gomez says the brand is “iconic” and that she’s participating in the campaign because of a real love for Coca-Cola. “I try to be an authentic as possible with everything I do, so nothing is forced.”

Shazam has also teamed with Coca-Cola so consumers of the Share a Coke and a Song products can have a deeper interactive experience with the song and its performer.

“You actually can grab a Coke bottle and you put up the screen onto your Shazam app and then it comes up what the actual song is, which I think is insane,” says Gomez. “And then you can lip-sync and create these cool videos.” Those videos can then be tricked out with filters and add-ons, and shared on social media.

The Share a Coke and a Song promotion launched in April, and, in addition to lyrics from Gomez’s songs, features other memorable lyrics like “We Are the Champions,” “Put a little love in your heart,” “Always on my mind” and “Lean on me.”

Gomez to Release New Album Next March

If you’re tired of hittin’ repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat on Selena Gomez’s last album When the Sun Goes Down, you’ll only have to wait a little longer for new music.

The 20-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress, who has been focusing more in recent months on acting projects like Spring Breakers and Getaway will reportedly release her next studio album in March 2013.

Selena Gomez

Gomez was in Texas on Wednesday to help Ryan Seacrest open Seacrest Studios, an interactive media experience for kids at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. During the event, Seacrest posted via Twitter, “@selenagomez just told me new album in march fyi,” and linked to a photo of himself and the former Disney Channel star.

Though no other information has been released, the news hints at the end of Gomez’s musical hiatus, which started back in January 2012.

To date Gomez’s last album, When The Sun Goes Down, has sold 642,000 copies since its June 2011 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album — her third with her band Selena Gomez & The Scene — spawned her biggest airplay hit ever, “Love You Like a Love Song,” which reached No. 15 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart and her first top 10 on the Pop Songs tally.

Since the album’s release, Gomez has turned her attention to acting, lending her voice to Hotel Transylvania and returning to her Disney roots for a Wizards of Waverly Place special. She also launched a self-titled fragrance last spring.

It’s no wonder Gomez was recently named Glamour magazine’s 2012 Woman of the Year for her burgeoning career and her continued philanthropic work with UNICEF.

Gomez Named Glamour’s Woman of the Year

She’s only 20-years-old… But Selena Gomez is this year’s woman of the year!

Following in Jennifer Lopez’s footsteps, the Mexican-American singer/actress has been named this year’s Woman of the Year by Glamour magazine

Selena Gomez

Gomez, who graces the cover of the magazine’s December issue as part of the honor, proves she’s Hollywood’s golden girl in a gold gown and fiery red lipstick.

“Woman of the Year — I didn’t even know I was a woman! I’m very honored… and it’s a very, very big deal to me,” said Gomez about receiving the honor. “I’m going to hold it close to my heart.”

Gomez earned the title for her work as UNICEF’s youngest ambassador. She recently helped Chilean families with the “Programa Puede” program, which develops early childhood education in impoverished communities.

Meanwhile, SelGo’s music and acting careers haven’t slowed down one bit… Along with landing four No. 1 singles on the Billboard charts including, “I Love You Like a Love Song” and “Who Says,” she’s taking on more grown-up roles in films like Spring Breakers and Getaway. She’s also starring in and executive producing a new Wizards of Waverly Place movie to be released next year.

Lovato: The Top-Ranking Latweeno on Billboard.com’s 21 Under 21

Billboard.com is back with its list of this year’s hottest minors in music, with five Latweeno artists/groups making the cut… And Demi Lovato isn’t only the highest ranking Hispanic artist, she’s also the top-ranking female…

The 20-year-old part Mexican singer/actress, who ranked at No. 7 last year, moved up four spots on Billboard.com’s latest 21 Under 21 installment, which ranks the most powerful minors in music.

Here’s a look at the Latweenos making the grade this year:

No. 3: Demi Lovato
Following the personal problems that threatened to derail her career two years ago, Lovato has come back Unbroken, which happens to be name of the album she released last year. It’s an album that’s still garnering attention. The album’s first track Skyscraper” recently picked up an MTV Video Music Award, while follow up single “Give Your Heart a Break” has resulted in Lovato’s first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

But that’s not all… Lovato scored a high-profile primetime television gig by joining Fox’s The X Factor, where she’s currently judging other aspiring artists alongside Simon Cowell and Britney Spears.

Throw in a popular summer tour with Hot Chelle Rae and hosting gigs at the Teen Choice Awards and MTV’s live New Year’s Eve Special, and 2012 is proving to be the year the former Disney Channel star is reaching new heights in her already impressive career.

Scotty McCreery

No. 4: Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery is holding steady on the 21 Under 21 list, coming in at No. 4 once again. That’s probably because the 18-year-old part-Puerto Rican country singer’s career has been going full steam ahead since he won American Idol in 2011. McCreery, who graduated from high school this year, saw his debut album Clear as Day reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Even though he hasn’t placed a single in the top 10 on the country charts, McCreery has developed a very loyal fan base at a young age. Clear as Day helped him claim prizes from the American Country Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards and the CMT Music Awards.

McCreery even toured with Brad Paisley and performed on the CW’s Hart of Dixie.

McCreery is following up his debut album, which was certified platinum, with a holiday set, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, will hit stores on October 16.

No. 6: Selena Gomez
She may have dropped three spots on the 21 Under 21 list, to No. 6, but Selena Gomez has not fallen off the radar. In the last year, she’s released another hugely popular album (When the Sun Goes Down), which spawned the hit singles “Who Says” and “Love You Like a Love Song,” which earned Gomez her first-ever MTV Video Music Award nod. And the 20-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress performed the album’s third single, Hit The Lights, on Dancing with the Stars.

And Gomez has broadened her appeal while taking a break from recording music. This spring, she launched a brand new fragrance and focused on her film career. Her voice will be heard in the animated film Hotel Transylvania, and she’s set to appear in two films that could help shatter her Disney image: Spring Breakers with James Franco and the crime drama Getaway.

And she’s currently dating the No. 1 on the 21 Under 21 list, Justin Bieber, which has resulted in countless tabloid placements. Selena Gomez and the Scene will hopefully be back soon, but in the meantime, she continues to leave her indelible imprint on pop culture.

3BallMTY

No. 17: 3BallMTY
3BallMTY may not be huge in the United States, but they could be very soon. The Mexican DJ collective, comprised of 19-year-old Erick Rincón, 19-year-old Alberto Presenda (DJ Otto) and 20-year-old Sergio Zavala (DJ Sheeqo Beat), have managed to turn their hobby into a huge business that’s reached a global audience thanks to their signature “tribal guarachero” sound. They’ve achieved success via radio airplay and synch deals with brands like Pepsi. And they recently dominated the list of finalists for the upcoming Billboard Mexican Music Awards. Despite their newfound fame, 3BallMTY has kept a cool and down-to-earth attitude about the group’s ascent in the music business. This past summer they opened up for Justin Bieber in a special concert at the famous Zócalo, the main square in the heart of historic Mexico City in front of about 200,000 music fans. “It was a bit nerve-wrecking,” says Rincón, “but once we were out on stage it was an amazing experience that we will never forget.”

Victoria Justice

No. 21: Victoria Justice
Victoria Justice has taken a tumble on the 21 Under 21 list, dropping from No. 10 to No. 21. But that has nothing to do with the 19-year-old half-Puerto Rican singer/actress’ talent. The star of had a relatively quiet recording year. She’s the breakout star of the Nickelodeon hit show, even while co-stars like Ariana Grande are seeing their stock rise. The release of the show’s latest soundtrack, Victorious 2.0, coincided with the release of Justice’s recent solo single, “Make It In America,” and in August Justice embarked on her first solo tour in support of the pop tune.

With Victorious ending it’s run on cable, Justice will be setting her sights elsewhere. She has a new film Fun Size coming out this October; and she plans to release a solo album shortly after that.

Michele to Perform Selena Gomez’s Popular Tune

It’s an inescapable pop song that’s so catchy even celebrities like James Franco have been caught singing along to it…

And now Selena Gomez’s “Love You Like a Love Song” will be performed on Glee

In an upcoming Prom-themed episode of Fox’s hit dramedy, Lea Michele’s character Rachel Berry will perform a “really powerful rendition” of the oh-so-catchy tune by Gomez and her band the Scene, according to E! News.

Lea Michele

And, if the 25-year-old part Spanish actress/singer’s take on other pop songs like Rihanna’s “We Found Love is any indication, you’ll most likely “keep hittin’ repea-pea-pea-pea-pea-peat” after downloading the track.

Exact details of Michele’s performance haven’t been released, but chances are she’ll sing the song to her on-and-off camera love Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson on the show.

This will mark the first time Gomez’s music has been featured on Glee.
