Harvey Guillén Starring in the Indie Pickleball Mockumentary “Pickleheads”

The 34-year-old Mexican American actor will star opposite Adrianne Palicki and John O’Hurley as the leads in the indie pickleball mockumentaryPickleheads.

Harvey Guillén,The film’s cast also includes Pej Vahdat, Kristine Froseth, Eric Nelsen, Ryan Cooper, Lindsey Morgan, Sam Humphrey and the film’s screenwriter Jared Bonner.

The homemade mockumentary “directed” by Arash Bardot (Vahdat) follows the weirdly lovable Barney Bardot (Bonner), who returns to civilization after a shameful, televised loss in Ping Pong eight years before Angus Caan (Cooper), which led him to recluse in the woods. Arash hopes for a “return to glory” story to save their family home from the estate agent at the door, Gayle Plankton (Guillén). But, with too much trauma surrounding his Ping Pong history, Barney cannot return to the small table.

Fortuitously, they meet the sweet and savage community pickleballer Mia Presley (Froseth) and reconnect with Angus, who acclimates Barney back to civilian life and a new racquet sport, where he must best Hawk Kai (Eric Nelsen) and his past.

Palicki stars as ‘Carla Plankton’, Nelsen as ‘Hawk Kai,’ and Sam Humphrey as ‘Gunther.’

The film is a co-production of Cooper’s Flew The Coop Productions and Bonner’s Fly Over Films.

Alex Meneses to Appear on The CW’s “Walker”

The 56-year-old half-Mexican American actress has joined the cast of The CW’s drama Walker in a recurring role.

Meneses, who has appeared on Jane The Virgin and Why Women Kill, will play Adriana, a successful psychiatrist and published author and mother of Micki Ramirez (Lindsey Morgan), Cordell Walker’s new partner in the Texas Rangers. She’s a strong personality who’s manipulative and very invasive when it comes to her daughter Micki’s life.

Walker, which launched in January, has become The CW’s most-watched series premiere in five years and has been renewed for a second season. It stars Jared Padalecki as Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, as he returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years.

The series, a reimagining of CBS’ long-running 1990s action/crime series Walker, Texas Ranger, hails from Rideback and CBS Studios.

Meneses is coming off feature film The Wall of Mexico and has also appeared in Everybody Loves RaymondThe Goldbergs, CSI and Prison Break.

The CW has released the trailer for the seventh and final season of the 30-year-old half-Mexican American actress’ sci-fi series The 100.

The 16-episode final season of The 100 will premiere on Wednesday, May 20 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on The CW. 

The 100is a post-apocalyptic science fiction drama that details the conflicts between various clans that have survived devastating events on earth, and their interactions with a space sanctuary for some of the survivors of the initial devastation. The action shifted to another planet for the sixth season, bringing new dangers and challenges that will be resolved in the last roundup.

In addition to Morgan, who portrays Raven Reyes, the series also stars Eliza Taylor (Clarke Griffin), Marie Avgeropoulo s(Octavia Blake) and Bob Morley

Original stars Henry Ian Cusickand Paige Turcowere killed in season six and won’t be back.

Upon completion of the last season, the series will have 100 episodes in the can.

Lindsey Morgan to Star in The CW’s “Walker, Texas Ranger” Reimagining “Walker”

The 29-year-old half-Mexican American actress has been cast as the female lead opposite Jared Padalecki in the CW’s Walker, a reimagining of CBS’ 1990s action/crime series Walker, Texas Ranger

Like the original series, created by Albert S. Ruddyand Leslie Greif, the reboot will explore morality, family, and rediscovering our lost common ground. 

Written and executive produced by Anna Fricke, it centers on Cordell Walker (Padalecki), a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his conservative family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner Micki (Morgan), one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history, while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death. 

Morgan’s Micki was born and raised in San Antonio. Focused and perceptive, her family has been in Texas since before it was Texas. She’s been in the Army and on the police force and knows first-hand what it’s like to be singled out and discriminated against because of her gender.

Morgan currently portrays Raven Reyes on the CW’s The 100, which is wrapping up its seventh and final season. She’s also starred on General Hospital.  

Morgan Lands a Recurring Role on The CW’s Sci-Fi Drama “The 100”

The half-Mexican actress has landed the role of a “fiercely determined” heroine on The CW‘s midseason drama The 100.

Morgan, best known for portraying Sonny Corinthos and Alexis Davis’ daughter Kristina Davis on General Hospital from 2012-13, has landed a recurring role on the futuristic sci-fi drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, a spaceship called the Ark housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of recolonizing the planet.

The series is based on Little, Brown’s The Hundred book series by Kass Morgan.

Morgan will play the “smart, skilled and fiercely determined Raven, the youngest mechanical engineer the Ark has seen in 52 years,” according to the official character description. “Upon learning about the 100, she is desperate to be reunited with her friends on the ground.”

Morgan was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her General Hospital arc.

Her past television credits include How I Met Your Mother, Happy Endings and Franklin & Bash.

The 100 premieres midseason on The CW.
