She may have lost in the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy category to fellow “Modern Family” castmate Julie Bowen, but Sofia Vergara proved to be the night’s biggest winner on the red carpet at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
Vergara sizzled at tonight’s Emmy Awards at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre in a coral, one-shoulder gown by Vera Wang that hugged her curvas in all the right places. She capped off the look with “huge!” chandelier earrings and an eye-catching gold cuff.
“The most exciting part of my outfit is my Colombian emeralds,” said the 39-year-old Colombian bombshell of her ensemble.
But Vergara wasn’t the only Latina representin’. Here’s a look at some of the night’s other Latina standouts!
There’s nothing naughty to say about “Glee” bad girl Naya Rivera’s sleek and sophisticated Emmy look. The half Puerto Rican actress is absolutely stunning in a head-turning black dress. And, the side pockets and bodice embellishment—not to mention the shimmering purple nail polish—give the dress a modern edge. Extra kudos to the 24-year-old actress/singer for letting the dress do all the talking with her sleek updo and minimal jewelry.
Sofia Vergara wasn’t the only one with scarlet fever at the Emmys. “Glee” star Lea Michele chose a fire-engine-red gown by Marchesa. The sleek backless dress featured ornately layered shoulders and a dreamy mermaid silhouette. The 25-year-old half-Spanish actress finished off her look with a large cocktail ring and Roger Vivier pumps.
“Parks and Recreation” star Aubrey Plaza is known for his comedic timing. But there’s nothing funny about how she looked at the Emmys! The 27-year-old half Puerto Rican actress/singer channels her romantic side in a cream-colored halter dress by Juan Carlos Obando. Not only does the gown highlight her svelte waistline, it highlights her strong shoulders and toned arms. And her retro, parted-to-the-side locks and dark eye makeup help add a little extra drama to her look.
So who do you think took home top honors on the red carpet at the Emmys?
